We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and faith, lifting up these precious requests to our Heavenly Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous to stand before Him. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and so we approach God with reverence, gratitude, and boldness, knowing that He hears us when we call upon the name of Jesus.
Father God, we lift up this dear family to You, asking for a miracle of healing for their precious baby. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. We declare Your promises over this little one: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We stand on Your Word, believing that You will restore health and strength to this child. Strengthen the faith of this family, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving in mighty ways. May they trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also come alongside this grieving family who has experienced loss. Heavenly Father, wrap Your loving arms around them and comfort them in their sorrow. Your Word tells us that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Lord, be their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround them with brothers and sisters in Christ who will weep with them, pray for them, and point them to the hope we have in You. Remind them that You have promised to wipe away every tear, and that one day there will be no more death, mourning, crying, or pain (Revelation 21:4). Until that day, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we pray for favor and provision over this individual seeking employment. Lord, You know the plans You have for him—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Open doors that no one can shut, and provide a job that not only meets his financial needs but also allows him to use his gifts and talents for Your glory. Guide his steps, Lord, and let him seek You above all else. Draw him closer to You during this time of difficulty, for You have promised that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things will be added to us (Matthew 6:33). May he find his strength and identity in You, knowing that You are his Provider and Sustainer.
Lastly, we lift up this household, asking for Your peace to reign in their home tonight. Lord, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and let Your presence fill every corner of their dwelling. We also bring before You the struggle with lust, for we know that this is a battle many face in the flesh. Your Word is clear: "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). We rebuke the spirit of lust in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. Lord, renew this individual’s mind and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, for it is written, "Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh" (Galatians 5:16). Help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to set their minds on things above, not on the things of this earth (Colossians 3:2). Surround them with accountability and godly fellowship, and let them find their satisfaction in You alone.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
