We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. First, we rejoice in the gift of new life and stand in faith with the parents of baby ###, declaring that by the stripes of Jesus, this child is healed. Father, we ask You to knit together every cell in this little one's body according to Your perfect design. Strengthen the parents' faith as they wait upon You, reminding them that You are the God who formed them in their mother's womb and have numbered every hair on their baby's head. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?"
For the ### family grieving their loss, we pray Your comfort that surpasses all understanding would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Lord, wrap Your loving arms around them and remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted. We ask that You would raise up godly believers to come alongside them with practical help and biblical encouragement. May they find their hope in Your promise that those who mourn will be comforted and that one day You will wipe away every tear.
Father, we lift up ### in his job search, asking that You would open doors no man can shut and provide work that uses his gifts to glorify You. Give him patience and perseverance, reminding him that his identity is found in Christ, not in his employment status. We pray he would draw near to You during this trial and find that You draw near to him, discovering the peace that comes from trusting in Your provision.
For the household seeking rest and peace tonight, we pray against every spirit of anxiety and declare that the peace of God, which passes all understanding, would stand guard over this home. We specifically address the struggle with lust mentioned in this request, for we know that such desires wage war against the soul. We rebuke this temptation in Jesus' name and pray that the one struggling would flee from every appearance of evil. Father, fill their mind with whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable, as Philippians 4:8 instructs. We pray they would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and put on the full armor of God to stand against the enemy's schemes.
Lord, we are grateful this prayer was offered in Jesus' name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We pray that each person mentioned would come to know You more deeply through these trials, for we know that suffering produces perseverance, and perseverance produces character, and character produces hope. May they all find their ultimate hope in the gospel of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again that we might have eternal life.
Heavenly Father, we ask all these things according to Your will, trusting in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. Strengthen our faith as we wait upon You, and help us to encourage one another in love and good deeds. May Your name be glorified in every situation, for You alone are worthy of all praise. In Jesus' mighty name we pray, Amen.
