We lift this request before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and a deep desire to seek His will. Though the details are not fully disclosed, we know that our Heavenly Father sees and understands every burden, every fear, and every longing of the heart. Let us come together in faith, trusting that He hears us when we call.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and the only mediator between God and man. We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, whatever it may be. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we trust that You are near to this dear one, drawing them close and lifting their burdens.
If there is unconfessed sin, fear, or doubt in this situation, we ask that You would bring it to light in a spirit of gentleness and truth. Your Word says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We pray for a heart that is willing to repent and turn fully toward You, for You alone are our refuge and strength.
If this request involves a relationship, we ask that You would guide it according to Your perfect will. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by You to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church. We pray that any relationship would honor You, be rooted in purity, and pursued with the intention of marriage as outlined in Your Word. Let there be no place for fornication, adultery, or any form of sexual immorality, for Your Word warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
If this situation involves same-sex attraction or relationships, we must stand firmly on Your Word, which calls such things sin. In Romans 1:26-27, You declare, "For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error." We pray for deliverance, healing, and a transformed heart that seeks to live in obedience to Your design. We ask that You would fill this person with Your love and truth, leading them into freedom and wholeness in Christ.
If this request is about loneliness, we pray that You would comfort and provide godly companionship. Your Word promises in Psalm 68:6, "God sets the solitary in families." We ask that You would bring the right people into this life—friends, mentors, and if it be Your will, a future spouse who loves You above all else. Help this person to wait on You and trust in Your timing, for Your plans are always good.
If there is anxiety, depression, or any form of spiritual oppression, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We command every spirit of fear, doubt, and despair to flee, and we pray that this dear one would be filled with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we also pray for a deeper revelation of who You are. If this person does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. We pray that this person would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved.
Father, we surrender this request into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. Strengthen this dear one with Your might, fill them with hope, and let them experience Your presence in a tangible way. May they walk in obedience, faith, and victory, bringing glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.
