We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up these physical burdens to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician. We know that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and it grieves us when they are afflicted with pain and discomfort. Father, we ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear one, touching their right foot to relieve the stiffness and pain. Your Word declares in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We trust in Your promise to restore and renew, believing that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Lord, we also bring before You the gastric issues that have been causing distress. We ask that You would settle this discomfort, bringing peace and healing to their digestive system. In Matthew 14:14, we read that Jesus had compassion on the crowds and healed their sick. We know that same compassion flows from You today, and we ask for Your healing touch. Guide them in their diet and habits, Lord, so that they may honor You with their bodies, as 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness that may be attacking their body, for Your Word says in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We stand on this promise, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we also encourage this dear one to seek godly wisdom in their care. Proverbs 3:7-8 says, "Don’t be wise in your own eyes. Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil. It will be health to your body, and nourishment to your bones." May they lean not on their own understanding but trust in You with all their heart (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your love and mercy, which endure forever. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon this dear one’s right foot, that the stiffness and pain would be removed completely. We declare that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we ask that You restore them to full health. We also pray for relief from gastric issues, that their digestive system would function as You designed it to, free from pain and discomfort.
Father, we ask that You would grant them wisdom in caring for their body, guiding them in their choices of food, rest, and activity. Help them to honor You in all they do, remembering that their body is Your temple. We rebuke any spirit of sickness or infirmity in the name of Jesus, and we declare that this dear one is healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to Your promises. We trust in You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
