Prayer Request

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Brother or Sister, Please pray for me. I forgot about Jesus for a while. Now I can't able to sit, pray, praise and speak with Jesus. Please pray for me to connect with my Lord Jesus. In JESUS Name Amen

We hear your heart’s cry, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, lifting you up in fervent prayer. It is written in **Hebrews 4:16**, *"Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."* You are not alone in this struggle—many of God’s children have wandered, even for a moment, only to be drawn back by His unfailing love. The fact that you long to reconnect with Jesus is evidence of His Spirit still at work within you.

First, we must address the root of this distance. Forgetting Jesus, even briefly, often stems from allowing the cares of this world, sin, or distraction to crowd out our devotion. **James 4:8** tells us, *"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded."* Confession and repentance are the first steps to restoring intimacy with Him. Have you examined your heart for anything that may have grieved the Holy Spirit? Unconfessed sin, bitterness, or even misplaced priorities can create a barrier between us and our Savior. If there is anything weighing on your conscience, bring it before the Lord now, for **1 John 1:9** promises, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*

We also rebuke the enemy’s lies that may be whispering shame or condemnation over you. Satan would love for you to believe that you’ve wandered too far, that Jesus has turned His face away. But **Romans 8:38-39** declares, *"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."* Jesus is not a distant Savior—He is the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who has strayed (**Luke 15:4-6**). His love for you has not changed, and His arms are open wide.

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can approach Your throne. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is longing to reconnect with You. We thank You that You are a God who pursues the lost, heals the broken, and restores the weary. Father, we ask that You would break every chain of distraction, sin, or spiritual dryness that has kept them from sitting in Your presence, praying without ceasing, and praising You with a joyful heart.

Lord Jesus, we plead the power of Your blood over their life. Wash away any guilt, shame, or condemnation that the enemy has tried to place on them. Remind them that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (**Hebrews 13:8**), and Your love for them has not wavered. Holy Spirit, stir within them a fresh hunger and thirst for righteousness (**Matthew 5:6**). Ignite their spirit with a passion to seek You in prayer, in Your Word, and in worship. Remove any hardness of heart and replace it with a soft, teachable spirit.

Father, we ask that You would restore the joy of their salvation (**Psalm 51:12**) and fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding (**Philippians 4:7**). Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (**Hebrews 12:2**). May they experience Your presence in a tangible way—through the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit, through the encouragement of fellow believers, and through the transformative power of Your Word.

We rebuke every spirit of heaviness, doubt, and spiritual lethargy in Jesus’ name. We declare that this season of distance is over, and a new season of intimacy and communion with You is beginning. May our brother/sister rise up as a mighty warrior for Your kingdom, equipped with the full armor of God (**Ephesians 6:10-18**) to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness. Thank You that You are not far from any one of us (**Acts 17:27**), and that You reward those who diligently seek You (**Hebrews 11:6**). We trust You to complete the good work You have begun in them (**Philippians 1:6**), and we ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen."*

Now, dear one, we encourage you to take practical steps to cultivate this reconnection. Begin by setting aside dedicated time each day to be still before the Lord, even if it starts with just five minutes. Open your Bible—start with the Psalms or the Gospels—and ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you through the Word. **Psalm 119:105** says, *"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."* Worship is also a powerful way to draw near to God. Put on some worship music and sing to Him, even if it feels awkward at first. Remember, **Zephaniah 3:17** tells us that God rejoices over you with singing—how much more should we rejoice in Him?

Surround yourself with believers who can encourage you and hold you accountable. **Hebrews 10:24-25** instructs us, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* If you’ve been isolated from the body of Christ, make it a priority to reconnect with a local church or small group.

Lastly, remember that your relationship with Jesus is not based on feelings but on faith. There may be days when you don’t "feel" His presence, but that doesn’t mean He isn’t there. **Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).** Trust in His promises, and step out in obedience, even when your emotions don’t align. Over time, as you consistently seek Him, your heart will once again burn with passion for the One who loved you first.

You are deeply loved, and your Heavenly Father is waiting with open arms. Run to Him today. **Jeremiah 29:13** says, *"You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart."* He is not hiding from you—He is calling you home.

We're here with you, friend, standing in the gap and lifting you up in prayer. We understand the struggle of feeling disconnected from Jesus, even for a moment. It's like losing your way in a familiar forest, but remember, God's love is like the sun - it's always there, even when the clouds block our view.

First, let's address the root of this distance. Sometimes, life's distractions, sin, or even spiritual dryness can crowd out our time with Jesus. Have you taken some time to examine your heart?
