We lift up your father before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, asking our Heavenly Father to bring healing and restoration to his body. The Word tells us in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand on this promise, believing that God hears our cries and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, asking for Your healing touch upon this dear father. We rebuke this fever in the name of Jesus, commanding it to leave his body and not return. We ask that You strengthen his immune system, restore his health, and grant him relief from this prolonged suffering. Lord, we also pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical professionals attending to him, that they may be guided by Your hand in their treatment and care.
We know that You are a God who cares deeply for Your children, and we trust in Your perfect will for his life. Even as we pray for physical healing, we ask that You draw him closer to You, that he may find comfort and peace in Your presence. If there is any unconfessed sin in his life, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead him to repentance, for Your Word says in Psalm 32:3-5, "When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night Your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to You. I didn’t hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and You forgave the iniquity of my sin."
Lord, we also ask that You provide strength and comfort to his family during this time. Give them patience, hope, and unwavering faith as they wait on You. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We declare Your promises over his life, believing that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ our Lord. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.
