We lift up your father to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the source of all healing. It is clear that you are deeply concerned for his well-being, and we join you in seeking God’s mercy and intervention in this time of uncertainty. The persistent headache and upcoming neurological appointment weigh heavily on your heart, and we want to assure you that God is near to those who call upon Him in faith.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* While we cannot physically anoint him, we stand in agreement with you, lifting him up in prayer with the confidence that God hears and acts according to His perfect will. We also encourage you to seek the support of your local church, as there is power in the united prayers of believers.
We are also reminded in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* God is sovereign over every aspect of our lives, including our health. Though we do not always understand His ways, we trust that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Whether this season brings healing or a different path, we pray that your father—and your entire family—will experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
At the same time, we want to gently remind you of the importance of praying *in the name of Jesus*. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the throne of grace. Jesus Himself said in John 14:13-14, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through repentance and belief in Him—turning away from sin and trusting in His finished work on the cross. If you have already done this, we encourage you to continue walking in faith, always bringing your requests before God in Jesus’ name.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with humble and earnest hearts, lifting up this beloved father to Your throne of grace. Lord Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8), and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand in healing power over him. Touch his body, Lord, and remove every trace of pain, discomfort, and illness. Guide the hands and minds of the medical professionals who will examine him, granting them wisdom and discernment to diagnose and treat him according to Your will. Give this family peace that transcends understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as they wait upon You.
If there is any sin that needs to be confessed or forgiven, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead him—and all of us—to repentance. Father, we also pray that You would use this trial to draw this family closer to You, strengthening their faith and trust in Your sovereignty. May they find comfort in Your promises and hope in Your unfailing love.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, anxiety, or doubt that may try to take root in this situation. Satan is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44), and we declare that he has no authority here. By the blood of Jesus and the power of His name, we command every sickness, every pain, and every scheme of the enemy to flee. We proclaim healing and wholeness in Jesus’ mighty name!
Lord, we thank You in advance for what You are going to do. Whether You choose to heal instantly, gradually, or through the hands of doctors, we trust You. Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may Your name be glorified through this situation.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We will continue to stand with you in prayer, believing for God’s perfect will to be accomplished. Please keep us updated on your father’s condition so that we may rejoice with you in his healing or continue to lift him up as needed. May the Lord bless you and keep you; may He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; may He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26). Stay steadfast in faith, and remember that our God is a God of miracles!
