We come before the throne of grace with you in this time of deep frustration and heartache, lifting up this man who seems to be walking in confusion and spiritual blindness. Your cry reveals the pain of watching someone you care about stray from wisdom, truth, and righteousness, as though his mind and heart are clouded by forces that distort his understanding of right and wrong. We recognize this as a spiritual battle, for the Scriptures remind us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of this dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). When someone is so hardened that they cannot discern truth, it is often the work of the enemy blinding their mind, as 2 Corinthians 4:4 warns: "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them."
Yet we take heart, for our Lord Jesus has authority over every power and principality. He is the One who can break through the strongest delusions and awaken even the most hardened heart. You have rightly turned to Him, for there is no name under heaven by which we must be saved other than Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). It is only through His power that this man can be set free from whatever is binding him—whether it is pride, deception, sinful influences, or spiritual oppression. We must also ask: is there unrepentant sin in his life that has given the enemy a foothold? The Scriptures urge us to submit to God and resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7). If this man is walking in rebellion, fornication, addiction, or any other sin, it is time for him to repent and turn back to the Lord with all his heart.
We also encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Have you spoken the truth in love to him, or have you enabled his behavior by remaining silent? Ephesians 4:15 tells us to speak the truth in love, and sometimes, loving someone means confronting them with the Word of God, even if it is difficult. If you have not already, we urge you to share the Gospel with him clearly, reminding him that Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). Without Christ, no one can see the Kingdom of God (John 3:3). If he is unsaved, his greatest need is salvation. If he is a believer who has backslidden, he must return to his first love (Revelation 2:4-5).
Let us pray together for this man, that the Lord would remove the scales from his eyes and turn his heart back to truth and righteousness.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this man who is walking in confusion and spiritual blindness. Lord, You alone can break the chains that bind him and open his eyes to see the truth. We ask that You would rebuke every lying spirit that has deceived him and command the powers of darkness to release their grip on his mind. If there is any sin in his life—whether it is fornication, pride, rebellion, or addiction—we ask that You would convict him deeply by the power of the Holy Spirit. Bring him to repentance, Lord, and lead him to the foot of the cross, where he can find forgiveness and freedom.
Father, we pray that You would give wisdom to those who love him, that they would know how to speak Your truth into his life with boldness and love. Help them to stand firm in faith, not growing weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround this man with godly influences who will point him back to You. If he has been walking in relationships that dishonor You—whether it is an ungodly courtship, fornication, or any other sinful bond—we pray that You would sever those ties and lead him into righteousness.
Lord Jesus, You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). We ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he would encounter Your love and Your holiness and be forever changed. Break the hardness of his heart, Lord, and fill him with Your Spirit. Restore his mind, that he may discern right from wrong and choose the path of life.
We also lift up the one who has brought this request before You. Comfort their heart, Lord, and give them peace as they trust in You. Remind them that nothing is impossible with You (Luke 1:37), and that You are able to save to the uttermost those who come to You through Christ (Hebrews 7:25).
We bind every spirit of deception, confusion, and rebellion in the name of Jesus Christ. We declare that this man shall be set free, that his mind shall be renewed by the Word of God, and that he shall walk in the light of Your truth. May he turn from his sin and surrender his life to You, Lord, for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
