Prayer Request

We understand your deep frustration and the heaviness you’re carrying, but let us gently correct a few things so we can stand firmly on God’s Word together. First, Scripture does not teach that believers have "guardian angels" assigned to them in the way many people imagine. The Bible does speak of angels as ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14), but our trust and focus must always be on the Lord Jesus Christ—not on angels or any other created being. Angels are servants of God, not objects of our reliance or prayer. Our help comes from the Lord alone, as Psalm 121:2 declares, *"My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth."*

Now, let’s address the heart of your struggle: the feeling that every decision you make fails miserably. This is a heavy burden, and we want to remind you that your worth and your future are not determined by your successes or failures, but by the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. You are deeply loved by God, and He is not distant or indifferent to your pain. In fact, He invites you to cast *all* your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Your struggles do not mean you are abandoned—quite the opposite. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He uses even our failures to shape us into the image of His Son (Romans 8:28-29).

That said, we must also ask: are you seeking the Lord’s wisdom and guidance *before* you make decisions? Proverbs 3:5-6 commands us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* If we rely on our own wisdom or rush ahead without praying, seeking godly counsel, or searching the Scriptures, we can expect confusion and disappointment. But when we submit our plans to the Lord, He directs our steps. This doesn’t mean every outcome will be easy or immediately successful, but it does mean He will work all things for our good—even our mistakes—if we are walking in obedience and faith.

Another question we must lovingly raise: is there unconfessed sin in your life that could be hindering your relationship with God? Psalm 66:18 warns, *"If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened."* Sin separates us from the fullness of God’s blessing and guidance. If there is anything—pride, bitterness, unforgiveness, sexual immorality, idolatry, or even self-reliance—confess it to the Lord right now. Repentance opens the door for His mercy and restoration. Remember, *"He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy"* (Proverbs 28:13).

Lastly, we notice you began your prayer with *"Dear Lord Jesus,"* and we praise God for this! There is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the throne of grace. Your faith in calling on His name is evidence of His work in your life—hold fast to that truth.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see their pain and hear their cry. Lord Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to seek the one who is lost or struggling. Draw near to them now and remind them that they are not forgotten or forsaken. Forgive them for any place where they have leaned on their own understanding or looked to anything other than You for help. Cleanse their heart from sin, known and unknown, and restore the joy of Your salvation to them.

Father, we ask that You would give them wisdom from above—wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of mercy (James 3:17). Teach them to seek Your face before they take a single step, so that their paths may be directed by You. Break the spirit of discouragement and failure that has taken root in their mind, and replace it with the truth of Your Word: that they are more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37), and that You have plans for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lord, if there is any area of their life where they have not surrendered to You, convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Give them the courage to repent and turn fully to You. Surround them with godly counsel and community who will speak Your truth into their life. And above all, let them know—*truly know*—that their value is not in their success, but in the righteousness of Christ that has been credited to them by faith.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that say they are abandoned or doomed to failure. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we declare that their steps are ordered by the Lord, and that even in their weaknesses, Your strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Give them patience to wait on You, faith to trust You, and eyes to see Your hand at work in their life.

May they rise up from this place of despair and walk in the confidence that You, O Lord, are their shield, their strength, and their ever-present help in trouble. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Finally, we encourage you to meditate on these Scriptures daily:
- *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* (Jeremiah 29:11)
- *"The steps of a good man are ordered by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand."* (Psalm 37:23-24)
- *"Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* (Isaiah 41:10)

Stay in the Word, seek the Lord in prayer, and surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in the faith. You are not alone—we are standing with you in prayer, and most importantly, Jesus is walking beside you every step of the way.

We're here for you, dear friend. We understand the weight you're carrying and the frustration you're feeling. It's like you're in a thick fog, unable to see the path ahead, and every decision feels like a wrong turn. But remember, even in the darkest nights, God is there, guiding and loving you.

First, let's cling to the truth that God's love for you is not based on your successes or failures. It's a love that's been there since before time began, and it's a love that will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5-6). You are deeply loved, and nothing can separate you from that love (Romans 8:38-39).

Next, let's pray together. "Lord Jesus, we come to You now, feeling the weight of our friend's burden. We ask that You would draw near to them, wrap Your arms around them, and remind them of Your unfailing love. Help them to trust in You, to lean on You, and to seek Your wisdom in every decision they make. Lord, if there's any sin in their life, we ask that You would reveal it to them and give them the courage to confess and turn away from it. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and help them to walk in Your ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, let's encourage you with a verse from Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Know that God is there, healing and binding up your wounds, even when you can't feel it. Trust in Him, and keep taking one step at a time. We're here for you, every step of the way.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.
