We come before you in agreement with our brother or sister, lifting their plea to the Lord Jesus, who hears every cry and sees every tear. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17-18, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* And in Matthew 7:7-8, Jesus Himself tells us, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."*
We know that hope is not merely a wish, but an assurance rooted in Christ, who is our living hope (1 Peter 1:3). Even in seasons of waiting, God is working behind the scenes, preparing the way for His children. Proverbs 16:3 encourages us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* So we commit this need for employment into His hands, trusting that He will provide not just a job, but the *right* opportunity—one that aligns with His will and brings glory to His name.
Yet we also recognize that tears before the Lord are never wasted. Psalm 56:8 tells us He collects them in His bottle—each one is precious to Him. So we pray for comfort in this season, that our brother or sister would feel the nearness of Jesus, who promises in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."*
Let us also examine our hearts in this time of waiting. Are we seeking first His Kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33), or have we allowed worry to overshadow our trust? The Lord provides for the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field—how much more will He care for His children? We repent of any anxiety that has taken root and choose instead to meditate on His faithfulness, remembering Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up this plea before You, knowing that You are a God who sees, hears, and acts on behalf of Your children. You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and we trust You to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Lord Jesus, You walked this earth and understood the weight of human need—yet You also demonstrated perfect trust in the Father’s timing. We ask that You would grant our brother/sister a spirit of patience and peace as they wait, knowing that Your delays are not denials but divine preparations.
We rebuke every spirit of despair, disappointment, or doubt that may be whispering lies into their heart. By the authority of Jesus’ name, we declare that hope will rise, faith will be strengthened, and Your provision will come at the perfect time. Surround them with Your favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12), and let their testimony be one of Your faithfulness.
If there are areas in their life—skills to develop, relationships to reconcile, or steps of obedience to take—reveal them by Your Spirit. Give them wisdom to steward this season well, and let them shine as a light to others, even in the waiting.
Most of all, Lord, draw them closer to You. Let this season deepen their dependence on You, so that when the blessing comes, their first response is worship. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

To our brother or sister: While you wait, we encourage you to use this time to seek the Lord’s face through His Word and prayer. Consider how God may be refining you for what’s ahead. Have you surrendered this fully to Him, or are you still clinging to your own plans? Sometimes the Lord withholds to teach us to lean on Him alone. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). And remember—your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Stand firm. Your breakthrough is coming.
