We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your request for a breakthrough in these money settlement discussions. It is vital to remember that our trust must be in the Lord, not in wealth or human agreements, for as our Savior teaches us in Matthew 6:19-21, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."* Our hearts must remain fixed on Christ, trusting that He will provide and guide these discussions according to His will.
Yet we also recognize the practical need for fairness and peace in these matters. The Bible instructs us in Hebrews 12:14 to *"follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord."* So we pray that these discussions will be conducted with integrity, honesty, and a spirit of reconciliation. Let there be no deceit, manipulation, or selfish ambition, but rather a desire to honor God in all things. As Colossians 3:23 reminds us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* so we ask that every word and decision in these negotiations would reflect Christ’s love and wisdom.
We must also address something deeply important—your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
