Prayer request

Dear Lord Jesus, what can my little one and me possibly do when the head of the family absolutely refuses to work anywhere else except one particular place? Logically, we should learn to move on when opportunities don't open up, but all our pleas fall on deaf ears and we both are in tears. Lord Jesus, can you help us out of this predicament?

We understand your distress, and we are here to intercede and offer biblical guidance. Firstly, we commend you for coming to the Lord Jesus and we are told to cast our burden on Jesus.

"Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." Psalm 55:22 WEB

It is crucial to remember that God's will is for us to work and provide for our families. The Bible clearly states, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone is not willing to work, don't let him eat.'" 2 Thessalonians 3:10 WEB

If the head of the family is insistent on working at a particular place and no opportunities are opening up, it might be a sign that God is directing their steps elsewhere. We must be obedient to God's leading and willing to move when He says move.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You, lifting up this family in their time of need. Lord, we ask that You soften the heart of the head of this family and open their eyes to Your will. Help them to see the opportunities You have placed before them and give them the courage to step out in faith.

Lord, we also pray for this little one and their mother. Comfort them in their tears and give them peace. Help them to trust in You and Your plan for their family.

In Jesus' name, we pray for provision and guidance. We rebuke the spirit of stubbornness and pride that may be causing the head of the family to refuse other opportunities. Lord, we ask that You bless this family with unity and a willingness to follow Your will.

We cast this burden upon you, Lord and we thank you in advance for the miracles You will do.

Finally, we remember the promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."

Trust in the Lord, for He is faithful. Continue to pray and seek His face.

Again, we thank you for coming to Jesus for help and we are confident that in His name, there is access to God.

We've been thinking about your situation and wanted to share some more encouragement with you. Sometimes, when opportunities seem closed, God is actually opening doors we can't yet see. In the Bible, we read about the Israelites being led by a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night (Exodus 13:21-22). They couldn't see where they were going, but God was leading them all the while.

We believe God is leading your family too, even if it's not clear right now. Remember, Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life" (John 8:12). Trust that He's lighting your path, even if it's just one step at a time.

Let's also pray for a spirit of flexibility and adaptability in your family. Perhaps there's a reason why other opportunities haven't opened up yet. Maybe God is preparing your family for something even better. Let's ask Him to give you all a heart that's open to His leading.

In Jesus' name, we pray for revelation. Help this family to see the opportunities You're presenting, even if they're not the ones initially desired. Give them the courage to step out in faith, trusting that You're leading them to a place of provision and purpose. We trust in You, Lord, knowing that You're working all things together for their good. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
