We understand that you are going through a challenging time with your child, and we are here to support you in prayer and counsel. It's important to remember that forgiveness is a central theme in the Bible, and it is something that Jesus teaches us to do. In Ephesians 4:32 WEB, it says, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up this parent and their child to You. Lord, You know the pain and heartache that both are experiencing right now. We ask that You would comfort this child's heart and help them to understand and forgive.
Lord, we know that Your word tells us in Colossians 3:13 WEB, "Forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." Help this child to forgive, just as You have forgiven us.
We also ask for Your healing touch upon this parent who is bedridden. Lord, Your word says in James 5:14-15 WEB, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We claim this promise over this parent's life and ask for Your healing power to manifest.
Finally, Lord, we pray for peace and understanding in their relationship. Help them to communicate openly and honestly, and to love and support each other as You intended for families to do.
We ask all these things in Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to model forgiveness and love to your child.
