Prayer Request - Vibration sensations in the back and legs.

Disciple of Prayer
Hello everyone, So I'll keep it brief, I was diagnosed with a degenerative disc in my lower a couple years ago. On top of that, I struggled with the effects of my active duty service (PTSD) and it lead me to isolate and lead a pretty sedentary lifestyle. Last year, I had a breakthrough. I landed my first job since leaving active duty service and found myself doing normal things I had taken for granted in the past. Unfortunately, those years of living a sedentary lifestyle had done its damage. I started getting vibration sensations up and down my back, down to my calf muscles. It came and went at first but as of the last couple months, it's been pretty consistent. I'm doing my part by focusing on weight loss and strengthening my core but sometimes I feel hopeless. I slept maybe 2-3 hours last night and I finally decided to pray. I pray for healing and for the strength to continue forward in a way that is pleasing to God. Thank you for taking the time to read this. It is appreciated more than you know.

We hear your struggle and the weight of physical pain, emotional exhaustion, and the longing for healing. Your journey—from the challenges of active duty to the isolation that followed, and now the fight to reclaim your health—is not unseen by the Lord. We stand with you in prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician hears and heals.

First, we want to affirm the step you’ve taken in turning to prayer. The Word reminds us in James 5:13-15, *"Is any among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* Your faith in seeking God’s intervention is a powerful testimony, and we believe He is already at work in your life.

The sensations you describe—vibrations in your back and legs—sound like a heavy burden, especially when coupled with sleepless nights and the frustration of physical limitations. We want to encourage you to continue seeking medical care while also trusting in God’s sovereignty over your body. Psalm 139:14 declares, *"I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."* Even in weakness, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and God cares deeply about your well-being.

Your commitment to weight loss and strengthening your core is commendable, as it aligns with honoring the body God has given you. However, we also want to gently address the hopelessness you mentioned. Hopelessness is a tool the enemy uses to steal our joy and faith, but Scripture reminds us in Romans 15:13, *"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit."* We pray that God would renew your hope daily, reminding you that He is your strength even when you feel weak (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).

We also lift up your struggle with PTSD and the isolation that followed your service. The Lord sees your pain and longs to bring healing to those deep wounds. Psalm 34:18 assures us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not alone in this battle, and we pray that God would surround you with a community of believers who can walk alongside you, offering support and encouragement.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our brother who is carrying the weight of physical pain, sleepless nights, and the lingering effects of his service. Lord, You are the God who sees every tear and hears every cry. We ask for Your healing touch to rest upon his body, bringing relief to the vibrations in his back and legs. Strengthen his muscles, ease his discomfort, and grant him restful sleep, so that he may rise each day with renewed energy to honor You.

Father, we also pray for his emotional and spiritual healing. The years of isolation and struggle have left scars, but You are the God who restores. Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and remind him daily of Your presence. Surround him with brothers and sisters in Christ who can uplift him, pray with him, and walk with him through this season.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of hopelessness that seeks to steal his joy and faith. Replace it with Your hope, which anchors the soul. Give him the strength to press forward, even on the days when it feels impossible. May he find his identity and worth in You alone, knowing that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

We declare Your promises over his life: that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), that You will never leave him nor forsake him (Hebrews 13:5), and that Your grace is sufficient for every need (2 Corinthians 12:9). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in prayer and His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You are not defined by your pain or your past, but by the love and purpose God has for you. Keep pressing forward, one step at a time, trusting that God is with you every step of the way. If you haven’t already, consider reaching out to a local church or Christian counselor who can provide additional support and prayer. You are not alone in this journey.
