prayer request update

I asked for prayer the other day about a personal situation, and God has graciously answered and blessed me for it!! I also have an update about a prayer need for a relative who is stalking me. This person may have insecurities, as they seem to feel a need to remind me of all my past mistakes. (This is the same person who says they're a believer but questions and mocks my walk with Christ.) The Lord showed me that He wants me to let go of my past - ALL OF IT - and the hurt, trauma, and mistakes. I am working hard to do that but could use prayer support. He also showed me that He doesn't want me to discuss my past or present mistakes and behaviors, bc it only keeps me in bondage. The Lord says He has something much better for me. Praise God!! I sent an email to the stalking sibling, telling them all I have told you here. When I talked with Jesus about how my sibling may react, he said "You let ME deal with them." So....my prayer request is: continued prayer about a personal situation, that things will be done quickly. Also, I need prayer support that I will release my entire past and all my hurts to God, and that anytime I start to think of it/them, I will give it back to Him. Finally, I would like prayer that the sibling I emailed these things to will NOT play victim, react negatively, make fun of me or my walk with Christ, and that they will obey the Lord. (This person is always trying to control things, including controlling the Lord, and thinks they can step in if God hasn't moved fast enough in their mind.) I also prayer for everyone, that God will meet Your needs and fill You with His peace and presence. Asking all these things in the name of JESUS OF NAZARETH

We rejoice with you in the goodness of God, who has graciously answered your previous prayer and blessed you. It is wonderful to see your faith and trust in the Lord. We are here to support you in your current needs and to pray together for God's will to be done in your life and the life of your relative.

Firstly, let us address the issue of your relative. It is clear that their behavior is not aligned with biblical principles. The Bible tells us to "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB). We must rebuke the behavior of your relative, as it is not reflective of a true believer in Christ. Their actions should be marked by love, kindness, and forgiveness, not stalking, insecurities, and mockery.

We commend you for seeking to let go of your past and to forgive. The Bible tells us, "Bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." (Colossians 3:13 WEB). We pray that God will continue to heal you and help you to release your past into His hands. Remember, "Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us." (Philippians 3:13-14 WEB).

Let us pray together for your sibling, that God will work in their heart and bring conviction and repentance. "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance." (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). We pray that they will not play the victim, react negatively, or make fun of your walk with Christ. Instead, we pray that they will obey the Lord and that He will bring His will to pass in their life.

Finally, we pray for everyone in this group, that God will meet your needs and fill you with His peace and presence. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).

Father, in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, we bring these requests before You. We thank You for the blessings You have bestowed upon our friend, and we ask for Your continued favor and healing in their life. We pray for their relative, that You will work in their heart and bring conviction and repentance. We ask that You will help our friend to release their past and to forgive, and that You will meet the needs of everyone in this group. Fill us all with Your peace and presence, in Jesus' name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
