Disciple of Prayer
Hello beautiful people, (please allow me to apologize for the long post in advance)
A few weeks ago i asked that you all pray for my mothers liver. (many of you may remember, some may not). However, i will be glad to reiterate my first post. My mother is 44 years old with an already extensive list of health problems. She has issues with her kidneys, she is a type 2 diabetic, high blood pressure/hypertension, diabetic neuropathy, and she also had a heart attack in November of 2012. It has been very difficult for her to make lifestyle changes but she is certainly trying her best.
In early December her primary care physician ran a routine blood test and the test results indicated that her Alkaline Phosphatase level was elevated...this typically means that SOMETHING is going on with her liver. In conjunction to those results she has been having upper abdominal pain since early October. I took her to the emergency room during that time she and was told that the tests came back normal and that CT scan did not show anything to be concerned about. Fast forward to early December, she expressed concern to her cardiologist who decided to order a sonogram of her epigastric region (upper stomach) to see if anything looks out of the ordinary. She never received a call about the results of that sonogram, so no news is good news right? Its been a few weeks.
So finally, her primary care physician ordered a sonogram of her entire stomach (which she had yesterday). We are awaiting the results which her doctor should have by tomorrow. There are no words to express how much fear, anxiety, and uncertainty has consumed me since this entire ordeal has begun. I know it is not a good a idea to Google symptoms because it will take your mind to places that it does not need to go.
More than anything, i just want her to be okay....i worry so much as it is, and to add that layer of anxiety is quite overwhelming for a 25 year old who thinks about her moms health nearly every second of every day. My mother is my everything....my best friend and my confidant. I love her to the ends of the earth and there are no words to begin to express how much i want her to be okay. I am asking you friends to please say a prayer for my mother. Her name is Kym...and such a wonderful woman. If something is indeed going on with her liver,(or anything in the region) i pray that it is something that can be treated and not life-threatening. Just please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I would certainly appreciate it. Thank you so much!
