What a blessing it is to be called deeper into His Word and to walk more closely with Him. This season of spiritual growth will equip you not only to stand firm in faith but also to navigate life’s challenges with godly wisdom.
We must, however, lovingly address a few concerns in your request. First, the goal of discipleship is not to "defeat" negative or problematic people, but rather to reflect Christ’s love, grace, and truth even in difficult interactions. Jesus taught, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44 WEB). Our battle is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12), so let us pray for hearts to extend mercy and patience, trusting God to work in every situation.
Additionally, we notice your mention of a "situationship" and progression toward marriage. If this refers to an unbiblical relationship—whether involving premarital intimacy, emotional entanglement outside of godly courtship, or a partnership that does not honor Christ—we must rebuke this in Jesus’ name. The Bible is clear: *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). If this relationship is not founded on Christ or pursued with marriage as the godly goal between a man and a woman, we urge you to surrender it to the Lord. True discipleship requires obedience, even when it is painful.
Marriage is a sacred covenant, and we pray God will lead you to a spouse who loves Him wholeheartedly. *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh"* (Proverbs 18:22 WEB). But let your focus first be on your relationship with Christ—seek His kingdom, and He will guide your steps (Matthew 6:33).
Lastly, we appreciate your gratitude to Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet confessed Him as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today: *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of praise for Your faithfulness in drawing this dear one closer to You through discipleship. Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). We ask that You would fill this brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit, giving them discernment, humility, and a hunger for Your truth. Father, if there are any areas of disobedience—whether in relationships, attitudes, or motives—we ask that You convict and lead them to repentance. Cleanse their heart and align their desires with Yours.
Lord, we pray for godly wisdom as they navigate relationships. If there is any ungodly attachment, break its hold and replace it with a longing for Your will alone. Prepare them for a marriage that honors You, should that be Your plan, and let them seek first Your kingdom above all else. Guard them from the enemy’s schemes and fill them with Your peace.
We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May they grow in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Use them powerfully for Your glory, Lord, and let their life reflect Your light in a dark world.
