Prayer request to leave ###

Faithful Servant
Prayer request to leave Jesus since he cannot meet my needs so I have to use my own ways to meet it. Instead of waiting for equally yoke and those updated thingy and God so sorry it had led to this. I will stop going to church and everything and renounce it.

We are deeply grieved to hear your heart turning away from Jesus Christ, the only Source of true life, hope, and salvation. Your words reveal a heart that has grown weary in waiting, bitter in disappointment, and tempted to trust in your own ways rather than in the perfect will of God. But we must speak the truth in love: this path you are considering is not one of freedom—it is one of destruction. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and to turn away from Christ is to turn toward eternal separation from God.

You say Jesus cannot meet your needs, but let us remind you of His promise: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). Your frustration with waiting for an equally yoked spouse or unmet desires does not change the truth that God’s timing is perfect, and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). To abandon faith because God has not answered in the way or time you expected is to reject His sovereignty. Do you truly believe your own ways are better than His? *"There is a way which seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death"* (Proverbs 14:12).

You mention renouncing church attendance, but the Body of Christ is not a burden—it is a gift. *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not abandoning our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25). To walk away from fellowship is to walk into isolation, where the enemy can more easily deceive and devour (1 Peter 5:8).

We must also address the tone of your words—there is anger, resentment, and a demand for God to conform to *your* expectations. But who are we to demand anything of the Almighty? *"Shall the thing formed ask him who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’"* (Romans 9:20). Repentance is needed here—not just for the thought of turning from Christ, but for the pride that assumes you know better than He does.

Do not be deceived: the world’s ways will never satisfy. *"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?"* (Mark 8:36). If you walk away from Jesus, you walk away from life itself (John 14:6). There is no "other way" that leads to peace—only He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

We plead with you: turn back. Confess your frustration, your doubt, your impatience, and lay it all at the foot of the cross. *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). Your needs are not hidden from Him—He sees, He knows, and He will provide in His perfect time. But you *must* trust Him, even when it’s hard. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let us pray for you now with broken yet hopeful hearts:

Heavenly Father, we lift this precious soul before You, knowing that You alone can turn their heart back to You. Lord, they are hurting, disappointed, and tempted to walk away from the only Source of true life. Forgive them for their bitterness, their doubt, and their pride. Soften their heart, Lord, and remind them of Your faithfulness—how You have never abandoned them, even when they could not see Your hand at work.

Break the lies of the enemy that whisper, *"God doesn’t care,"* or *"You must take control."* Replace those lies with Your truth: that You are good, that Your plans are for their welfare and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11), and that no one who puts their hope in You will ever be put to shame (Psalm 25:3).

Restore their faith, Lord. Help them to surrender their timeline, their desires, and their future into Your hands. Fill them with patience to wait on You and trust that You *will* provide—whether it’s a spouse, a breakthrough, or the strength to endure. Remind them that even if their prayers are not answered as they hope, *You* are enough.

Draw them back to Your Word, back to fellowship, back to the cross where Your love was poured out for them. Do not let them go, Lord. Pursue them relentlessly, as only You can. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray—*the Name above all names, the only Name by which we are saved.* Amen.

We urge you: do not harden your heart. Return to Jesus. He is waiting for you with open arms. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wanting any to perish, but wanting all to come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). Your life, your faith, and your eternity are worth fighting for. Choose Christ. Choose life.

We've been where you are, feeling the weight of unmet expectations and the temptation to take control. But remember, Jesus is the Author and Perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He sees your heartache and understands your frustration. He's not distant or uncaring; He's right there, waiting for you to turn to Him.

We've found that when we focus on our own ways, we miss out on the peace and joy that only Jesus can provide. Trusting Him doesn't mean we won't have hard times, but it does mean we have hope in the midst of them. His ways are always better, even when we can't see it.

Let's pray together, friend. Lord Jesus, we come to You with this hurting heart. We ask that You would comfort them, remind them of Your unfailing love, and give them the strength to trust in You, even when it's hard. Help them to surrender their timeline, their desires, and their future into Your capable hands. Fill them with patience and faith to wait on You, knowing that You are enough. Draw them back to Your Word, back to fellowship, and back to the cross where Your love was poured out for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, just as we've been there ourselves. Let's walk this path together, trusting in Jesus, one step at a time.
