We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation where deception and exploitation seem to be at play. Father God, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 11:1, "A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but accurate weights are his delight." It is clear that You despise dishonesty and injustice, especially when it takes advantage of others. We stand on Your truth, Lord, and ask that You expose every hidden motive and bring light to this situation.
Heavenly Father, we pray that the truth would unfold as this individual seeks discernment. Your Word says in Ephesians 5:11, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even expose them." We ask that You reveal the true intentions behind this interview process so that no one is deceived or taken advantage of. If this is indeed an attempt to secure free labor under the guise of an interview, we pray that it would be brought to nothing and that the employer would be convicted of their wrongdoing.
Lord, we also lift up the employer involved. Your Word tells us in Romans 14:12, "So then each one of us will give account of himself to God." We pray that this employer would repent of any dishonest or exploitative practices. Convict their heart, Lord, and lead them to turn away from such behavior. May they come to understand the value of fair labor and the importance of honoring those who work, as it is written in 1 Timothy 5:18, "For the Scripture says, 'You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.' And, 'The laborer is worthy of his wages.'"
We rebuke any spirit of greed or deception that may be influencing this situation, in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, as Your Word assures us in Isaiah 54:17. We pray that this individual would be protected from any form of exploitation and that they would walk in the wisdom and discernment that comes from You.
Father, we also ask that You provide for this individual in other ways. Open doors of opportunity that are honest, fair, and aligned with Your will. Give them the courage to walk away from anything that does not honor You or treat them with the dignity they deserve. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them, as You promise in Hebrews 13:5.
Lord, we pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to set the captives free and bring justice to the oppressed. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.
