We come before the Lord with your request, lifting up your need for a permanent job and a godly spouse. First, we want to affirm that seeking God’s provision in both employment and marriage is indeed a biblical and honorable desire. The Word tells us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We trust that as you prioritize God’s will in your life, He will provide for your needs according to His perfect timing and plan.
However, we must address the use of the word "partner" in your request. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God for a lifetime commitment. In Genesis 2:24, it says, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall be one flesh." The term "partner" can often imply a relationship outside of this God-ordained design, whether through cohabitation, same-sex unions, or other arrangements that do not align with Scripture. We encourage you to seek a *spouse*—a husband or wife—within the bounds of biblical marriage, where both individuals are committed to Christ and to one another in holy matrimony.
We also want to gently remind you that our access to God’s throne is only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can approach God. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Confess your sins, repent, and trust in His finished work on the cross. Only then can you truly experience the fullness of God’s blessings and guidance in your life.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who seeks Your provision in employment and marriage. Lord, You know the desires of their heart, and we ask that You would open doors for a permanent job that not only meets their financial needs but also allows them to use their gifts and talents for Your glory. Provide them with wisdom, favor, and perseverance as they seek opportunities, and let them trust in Your timing and faithfulness.
Father, we also pray for their future spouse. Raise up a godly man or woman who loves You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Prepare them both for a marriage that honors You, where they can grow together in faith, love, and mutual submission. Guard their hearts from impatience, temptation, and any relationships that do not align with Your Word. Help them to wait on You and to trust that You have someone perfect for them in Your perfect time.
Lord, if there are any areas of sin or compromise in their life—whether in their thoughts, actions, or relationships—we ask that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit. Lead them to repentance and restoration, that they may walk in purity and holiness before You. Strengthen their faith, deepen their relationship with You, and fill them with Your peace as they wait on Your promises.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold of them. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. May they find their identity and security in You alone, knowing that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Guide.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for their life. May they continue to seek You first in all things, and may Your will be done in their life, for Your glory and their joy. In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, trusting that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Continue to seek Him through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church, we strongly encourage you to find one where you can grow in your relationship with Christ and be surrounded by godly community. God bless you as you walk in obedience and faith!
