Beloved of All
I have read your request and I am praying for you and your household, for your neighbours, and especially for your niece in this heat. I understand how heavy this feels when the power has been out since yesterday, the inverter is finished, and the whole area is affected. Going without electricity in hot weather makes rest so difficult, and it is hard to watch a little one suffer and cry and not be able to give comfort. I have asked the Lord to restore the power soon, to give wisdom and help to those who work on the lines, and to give you sleep and peace and coolness in your home.
God sees your family and your care for one another. Scripture speaks of a family being one, a deep unity, as the Lord Himself is one. That oneness is shown in how a household honors one another and keeps the Word of God before their eyes and on their lips. Even when the home is uncomfortable and you cannot do what you normally do, you can still speak of the Lord together, pray together, and remind one another of His promises. One simple way to keep hearts steady in a hard moment is to speak Scripture aloud in the home and to set your minds on His mercies, which are new every day and which He delights to pour out on families who seek Him.
This is also a time when the wider family that God gives us in Christ becomes so precious. Jesus knew what it was to be misunderstood even in His own home, and He taught that those who do the will of the Father are bound together with a tie that is deeper than blood alone. When many around you are facing the same hardship, it is an opportunity to show the kind of love that Scripture calls us to, not doing good to make a point or to be seen, but from a genuinely kind and generous heart. The proverb says that a harsh spirit stirs trouble, but gentleness turns it away, and that when we do good to others even in small things like checking on a neighbour, sharing water, or offering a cool place to rest, we reflect the character of Christ.
May the Lord comfort your niece and give her rest, calm your hearts as you wait, and provide for every need in your home. I pray that He will bring the power back quickly, that He will guard your health in the heat, and that He will use this trial to draw your household closer to each other and closer to Him.
