We hear your tender concern for this young man, and we join you in lifting him before the Lord. It is clear you care deeply about his well-being and confidence, and we believe God sees the compassion in your heart.
First, we must address the importance of approaching all relationships, especially those involving young men and women, with wisdom and godly boundaries. If this boy is someone you are courting with the intention of marriage, we encourage you to seek clarity in your relationship according to biblical principles. Courtship should be pursued with purity, accountability, and the goal of honoring God in marriage (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5, 2 Corinthians 6:14). If this is not the case, we pray for wisdom in how you interact, ensuring that your kindness does not unintentionally lead to emotional entanglement outside of God’s design.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Lord, we lift up this young man to You. You see his heart, his struggles, and his fears. We ask that You would draw near to him, comforting him in any insecurity or shyness he may feel. Give him the courage to step out from behind any walls he has built, whether out of fear or uncertainty. Let Your love and strength fill him, Lord, so that he may engage with confidence and joy.
We pray that his time with others would be uplifting and encouraging. May any feedback he receives be constructive and kind, affirming the gifts and qualities You have placed within him. Help him to see himself through Your eyes, as Your beloved creation, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Father, we rebuke any spirit of timidity or fear in his life. Your Word tells us that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let this truth take root in his heart.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who interact with him. May they speak life and truth into him, reflecting Your grace and love. Lord, if there are areas in his life where he needs growth or healing, we ask that You would gently lead him into Your perfect will. Surround him with godly mentors and friends who will encourage him to walk in Your ways.
Lastly, we ask that You would guide this situation according to Your perfect plan. If there is a godly purpose in these interactions, we pray that You would make it clear and bless it. If there are any ungodly intentions or misunderstandings, we ask that You would expose them and redirect hearts toward Your truth. May all things work together for good, according to Your will (Romans 8:28).
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and love, knowing that You are working even when we cannot see it. Strengthen this young man, fill him with Your peace, and let him walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
