Prayer request, please

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for our brother or sister whose appointment has been postponed and who is enduring foot pain. The delays and discomforts of life can weigh heavily on the spirit, but we know that our God is sovereign over every detail, including the timing of our steps and the healing of our bodies.

First, we lift up the matter of the postponed appointment. Delays can bring frustration, uncertainty, or even fear, but we are reminded in Psalm 27:14 to "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh." The Lord’s timing is perfect, even when it does not align with our own. We pray that this delay is not a setback but an opportunity for God to work in ways we cannot yet see. May our brother or sister find peace in trusting that the Lord is orchestrating every moment for His glory and their good. Let us also ask the Lord to provide clarity and wisdom for the next steps, whether it be rescheduling, seeking alternative care, or simply resting in His provision.

For the foot pain, we cry out for healing in the mighty name of Jesus. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we believe that God cares deeply about the suffering of His children. We stand on the promise of Psalm 147:3, which declares, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Father, we ask You to touch this beloved one with Your healing hand. Ease the pain, restore strength, and bring full recovery. If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness that may be hindering healing, we pray that You would reveal it and bring repentance and freedom. We also ask for wisdom in seeking medical care and for the discernment to follow the path that aligns with Your will.

We must also address the way this request was framed. While we appreciate the cry for healing in Jesus' name, we noticed that the name of Jesus was only mentioned at the end as part of the closing. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father or receive salvation. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Jesus is not merely a tagline or a ritualistic phrase—He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Without Him, there is no access to the Father, no healing, and no hope. We encourage our brother or sister to center their faith fully on Christ, not just in word but in the posture of their heart. Let us never take His name for granted but always approach Him with reverence, gratitude, and faith.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name. We lift up this dear one to You, asking for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for patience in the waiting and faith in Your perfect timing. For the foot pain, we ask for Your healing touch, whether through miraculous intervention, medical treatment, or divine strength to endure. Lord, we also ask that You would draw this person closer to You through this trial. May they know Your presence more intimately and trust You more fully. If there is any area of their life that is not aligned with Your will, reveal it to them and grant them the courage to walk in obedience.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold. We declare that this is not a time for despair but a time to see the Lord’s faithfulness in new ways. We speak healing over every part of their body and restoration over every area of their life. May they rise up in the strength of the Lord and walk in the victory that is theirs through Christ Jesus.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your love, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, and let us never forget that our hope is anchored in the name of Jesus. In His precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
