We hear the weight you are carrying and we stand with you before the Lord for your wife, your marriage, and your unborn child whose life is precious in His sight. We thank God for your desire to protect your family and to seek His peace in this very stressful season, and we join our faith with yours for truth, protection, and a safe delivery in early December.
We want to gently and lovingly address a few things you have shared in light of Scripture. Marriage is a sacred covenant ordained by God between a man and a woman, and what God has joined together, let no man separate, Matthew 19:6. Scripture teaches that a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and they shall be one flesh, Genesis 2:24. This leaving and cleaving means that while we honor our extended families, the marital union becomes the primary earthly allegiance, and decisions about finances, plans, and the home must be made together as husband and wife with clear and loving boundaries against outside interference. When agreed upon funds for your baby were diverted to her mother and replaced with external debts and altered plans without your consent, that breaks trust and stewardship. The Lord calls us to faithful and honest stewardship, for the plans of the diligent surely lead to profit, and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty, Proverbs 21:5, and to let all things be done decently and in order, 1 Corinthians 14:40. We encourage you both to seek unity, transparency, and mutual consent in all financial matters going forward, with wise counsel if needed.
We also hear that external family members have introduced fear driven claims and prophecies blaming your family and warning of spiritual attacks. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7, and we are told do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, 1 John 4:1. Fear is not from the Lord, and we rebuke the use of manipulation or false prophecy to sow division and anxiety in your home. The Lord says fear not, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. We must fix our eyes on Christ and His truth rather than on voices that bring confusion.
You shared that this constant pressure has driven you to step back and check out emotionally to safeguard your mental clarity and peace. We understand the exhaustion and the desire for peace, and we have compassion for you, yet we want to encourage you as a husband not to withdraw from your wife in this vulnerable hour. The Lord calls husbands to love their wives even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her, Ephesians 5:25, and to dwell with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman as to the weaker vessel, 1 Peter 3:7. Emotional distance, even when intended as self protection, can leave your wife feeling abandoned in her third trimester when she most needs your gentle, steady, and prayerful presence. True peace is not found in disengagement but in casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7, and in bringing everything to God in prayer. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.
We also notice that your request speaks of God and prayer but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by His blood and His name that our prayers are heard and our homes are covered, and we encourage you to call upon Him daily as Lord and Savior over your marriage and your child.
We rejoice that you are preparing for new life, for behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh, the fruit of the womb is his reward, Psalm 127:3. We pray for your wife's physical and emotional health and for your baby's protection in these final weeks.
We pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this husband, his wife, and their unborn child to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask You to pour out Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds. Quiet every external voice, every fear driven claim, and every attempt to bring division, and let Your truth reign in their home. Expose what is hidden, bring absolute truth and financial integrity, and give them wisdom and courage to establish clear, loving, and biblical boundaries with extended family, that their marriage may be united and set apart for You. Forgive any dishonesty or stewardship that has not honored You, and lead them into unity and faithful agreement over every decision. Lord, we ask You to draw this husband close to his wife with Christlike love, patience, and strength, and not to let weariness turn to withdrawal, but to be her covering and comfort. We place Your hand of protection over this mother and child in this third trimester, we pray for total health, strength, and peace for her body and spirit, and for a safe, complication free, and joyful delivery in early December. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let Your joy and hope fill their home as they prepare to welcome this child. We trust You for restoration, for You know the plans You have for them, plans for peace and not for evil, to give them hope and a future, Jeremiah 29:11. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
