Hi,

I would greatly appreciate your prayers- my mom had to go to the ER this morning, she has been there all day and I just got word back from my dad, it turns out she had a stroke, she is still in the hospital and will still be there for several more days. It was a mild stroke but she is now having tingling in her hands. Please pray for a miracle healing for my mother and also for strength for her and the entire family and me and also wisdom for all doctors. Also please pray for healing and strength for me, I am deathly ill with schizophrenia right now and I need to go visit my mother in the hospital and I can barely even do it, I need to be strong for my family and I am DEATHLY ill. I am so ill I feel like I may have to go to the ER myself but that would be a disaster, my family couldn't take it. I need strength! Thank you!

We join you in prayer together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name for your mother and for you and your whole family during this very difficult and frightening time.

We were so sorry to hear that your mother suffered a stroke and is still in the hospital with tingling in her hands, and that you are also deathly ill with schizophrenia while trying to be strong for your family. The Lord sees your distress and your love for your mother, and He is near to those who are burdened and heavy laden. We are praying for a miracle of healing and restoration for your mother, for the tingling to cease and for her strength and function to fully return, and for wisdom and skill for every doctor and nurse caring for her. We pray also for you, for strength in your body and mind, for peace when you feel overwhelmed, and for the ability to visit your mother and support your family without your own health collapsing.

Scripture reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1, and that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We cling to His promise, Fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. For your mother we claim, But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17, and Bless Yahweh, my soul, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:3. For wisdom for the medical teams we remember, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. For you in your weakness we hold to, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9, and He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might, Isaiah 40:29. We also take comfort that we can cast all our anxiety on Him, because He cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7, and that we are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

We want to gently share something important with you, as we noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is in His name alone we can come boldly to the throne of grace to find help in time of need, Hebrews 4:16.

We also want to encourage you with love not to neglect your own health out of concern for your family. If you feel you may need to go to the emergency room yourself, please do not hesitate to seek immediate medical help and let your family and doctors know how ill you are feeling. The Lord often works through physicians and medicine, and caring for yourself will also help you care for your mother. Do not carry this burden alone, lean on the Lord for strength day by day and allow trusted family, friends, or pastors and medical professionals to support you.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear mother who has suffered a stroke. Lord, You know her body, every nerve and vessel, and we ask for Your healing hand upon her. Ease the tingling in her hands, restore what the stroke has affected, protect her from further harm, and bring her to complete recovery according to Your will. Grant wisdom, clarity and compassion to every doctor and nurse treating her, and give peace and strength to her husband and family as they wait and watch over her. We also lift up this beloved child who is crying out for strength while battling schizophrenia and feeling deathly ill. Lord, have mercy and bring healing to mind and body, calm the fear and torment, grant soundness, rest and physical strength. Help them to be able to visit their mother safely, and if they need emergency care, give them courage to seek it and provide the right help without delay. Sustain this whole family, let them feel Your presence, Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and Your power made perfect in weakness. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.

We will continue to keep you and your mother and your entire family in our prayers, asking God to show His mercy, healing and sustaining grace in the days ahead.

We were so sorry to read this news about your mom. A stroke, even a mild one, is frightening, and waiting in the hospital for days with that tingling in her hands brings a lot of worry. And we hear how much you want to be there for her while you are feeling so ill yourself. That is an incredibly heavy place to be, wanting to support your family when you can barely get through the day.

We are praying for your mom for healing and for steady, wise care from her doctors and nurses, and for strength and peace for you, your dad and your whole family as you wait.

We also hear you saying you feel deathly ill and wonder about needing the ER yourself. Please do not try to carry that alone. Alongside prayer, it is wise to reach out promptly to your own doctor or care team and to let your dad or another trusted family member know how you are feeling right now. If visiting the hospital feels like too much today, ask someone you trust to go with you, or to help share updates so you can rest and still stay connected.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this mom to you for healing and for skilled care, and we lift her child to you for strength, for help from their care providers, and for peace in this hard week. Give this family your nearness and guidance day by day. Amen.

We have received your request and we bring you and your dear mother before the throne of grace with earnest prayer.

We are grieved to hear of your mother's stroke and that she remains in the hospital with tingling in her hands, though we thank God it was mild and that she is under care. We pray that the Lord, who is the Author of all being and the giver of all strength, will lay His healing hand upon her, restore what has been weakened, and grant complete recovery according to His mercy. We ask also for wisdom for all doctors and nurses who attend her, that God who gives mental power and skill to men would guide their hands and judgments for her good.

We hear also your own deep distress, and your cry for strength has touched us. You speak of being deathly ill with schizophrenia and of feeling so faint you can scarcely visit your mother, and even fear you may need the emergency room yourself. Hear the promise of Scripture, that human strength in any form will spend itself in due time, for all strength apart from God is derived strength and must come to an end. But the Lord gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength. It is written, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and again, As thy days, so shall thy strength be.

This is your hope. You have no strength of your own to bear this double burden, but God Himself has said, I will strengthen them. He will fitly infuse and wisely balance the strength you need for each day, not strength to lay by for tomorrow, but strength enough to bear your sufferings and to do your duty this day. When the leap seems too wide, draw back, take breath, and ask for strength in the name of Him who will surely bear you over it.

So we pray for you now, that the Lord would be the glory of your strength. May He quiet your mind and body, sustain you in this illness, grant you calm and steadiness to visit your mother as you are able, and uphold your whole family in this trial. If your distress grows and you have need of immediate medical help, do not withhold yourself from it, for the Lord often works through the physician and through the care of others, and to seek help in extremity is not to fail your family but to honor God with the means He provides. May He give you wisdom to know when to rest and when to go, and may He keep you and your mother in His tender care.

We pray together:

O Lord our God, whose strength is inexhaustible and whose mercies never fail, look in compassion upon this mother now in the hospital and upon this child who cries to You in weakness. Lay Your hand upon the mother, ease the tingling, heal the effects of the stroke, and bring her home in Your time. Give skill and wisdom to those who treat her. And Lord, strengthen this dear one who is afflicted and faint, renew his strength as he waits upon You, give him as his days so shall his strength be, and keep him in perfect peace as his mind is stayed upon You. Let him feel that You are near, that You give strength to the weary, and that Jesus Christ is his life and hope. Hear us for Christ's sake. Amen.

We will continue to remember you, your mother, and your family before the Lord, asking Him to show Himself strong on your behalf.
