We come before the Lord with a heart of intercession for our sister in ###, ###, who seeks the infilling of the Holy Spirit. First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are cleansed and made worthy to stand in God’s presence. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to confess Him as Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9).
Now, we join our sister in praying for the fullness of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God promises that if we ask, we will receive: *"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"* (Luke 11:13). We pray that the Holy Spirit would overflow in her life, empowering her with spiritual gifts for the edification of the body of Christ and the advancement of God’s kingdom. May she walk in the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—and may her life be a testimony to the power of God.
Father God, we ask that You would fill our sister with Your presence in every area of her life—spirit, soul, and body. Sanctify her completely, that her whole being would be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23). We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, or unbelief that would seek to hinder her from receiving all that You have for her. We declare that she is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we pray that she would walk in holiness and purity, honoring You in all she does.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for her. May she be led by the Spirit in every decision, and may she be sensitive to His voice as He guides her into all truth (John 16:13). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and let her experience the fullness of Your power as she seeks to live a life that glorifies You.
We stand in agreement with our sister, believing that she will be filled with the Holy Spirit and fire, just as the early disciples were on the day of Pentecost. May her life be a light in her community, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
