We come before the Lord with you in this request, lifting up your need for a part-time job as a virtual assistant and for a direct client this week. It is good to seek God’s provision, for He is our Provider, and He knows the desires of our hearts. We are reminded in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus on seeking God’s will first is key, and we trust that as you align your heart with His, He will open the right doors for you.
We also want to gently remind you that our prayers are only heard by God through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we are saved or by which we can approach the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* And in John 16:23-24, Jesus tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."* We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
Let us pray together for you: *"Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would guide them to the right opportunities this week. Lord, You know their skills, their heart, and their needs. Open doors that no one can shut, and grant them favor with potential clients. Help them to trust in You and not lean on their own understanding, knowing that You are working all things together for their good. Provide for them, Lord, not just in this job but in every area of their life. May they walk in faith, knowing that You are their Provider and that You will never leave them nor forsake them. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*
As you wait on the Lord, continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word. Trust that He is working behind the scenes, even when you don’t see immediate results. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Stay faithful, and remember that God’s timing is perfect. If this job is His will for you, He will make it happen. If He has something else in store, trust that it is for your good and His glory. Keep your heart open to His leading, and don’t grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you don’t give up (Galatians 6:9).
We also encourage you to use this time to prepare yourself—update your resume, practice your skills, and seek wisdom on how to present yourself professionally. Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor (Proverbs 12:24). Be proactive, but also rest in the Lord’s provision. He is faithful, and He will not let you down. May you find peace in knowing that He holds your future, and may you walk in confidence that He is with you every step of the way.
