Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so openly. God sees you right where you are, and He hears your desire to know Jesus more deeply, to finish your studies, and to find a healthier place to live. You are not forgotten or overlooked.
It may help you to know that Jesus Himself understood what it is like to not be honored or even believed in His own household. Scripture tells us His own brothers did not believe in Him at first, and He spoke about how a prophet often finds the hardest reception among His own family and home. That does not make your pain less real, but it means the Lord truly understands the ache of living where you feel controlled, sheltered, and emotionally wounded. He has compassion for you in that place.
I also hear how heavy the discouragement and lack of motivation has been, and how you feel behind in life. It is understandable to want to finish your GED mainly to escape or to prove your worth or to catch up with others. Yet Jesus taught not to labor only for what does not last, but for what endures to everlasting life. Finishing your education and finding work are good and practical goals, and God can use them to help you grow into the independence He desires for you. At the same time, the highest and most sustaining reason to press forward is not pressure, competition, or even the need to get out, but the love of Christ drawing you forward. As Paul said, it is the love of Christ that constrains us and moves us. When love for Him becomes the deeper motivation, He lifts us to a higher place where we are not driven only by carnal rewards or by fear and shame, but by a desire to know Him and to steward the life He has given us.
That shift does not happen all at once. God wants to build in you a stronger relationship with Him first, and from that relationship He will give you steadiness for the daily work in front of you. Feeling that you have no plans or goals right now does not mean you are a failure. God does not measure you by how quickly you reach milestones the world sets. He is concerned with your heart before Him, and He is able to give you purpose step by step as you walk with Him.
I am praying for you, that the Lord will draw you closer to Jesus each day through His Word and prayer, that He will comfort you in your depression and bring wise and safe people around you who can support you practically and spiritually, that He will give you strength and a clear mind as you prepare for your GED exams later this year, and that He will make a way for you to live in a safe and peaceful environment in His timing.
