We understand your concern about the wooden toys you’ve misplaced, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s help in recovering them. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 7:7, *"Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you."* We believe that God cares about even the small details of our lives, and He invites us to bring our requests before Him with faith.
However, we must also encourage you to examine your heart and motives in this matter. While it is not wrong to ask God for help in finding lost items, we must ensure that our priorities align with His will. Are these toys of great importance to you, or is there something deeper—such as material attachment, anxiety, or even idolatry—that may need to be surrendered to the Lord? The Scriptures warn us in 1 John 2:15-16, *"Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s."*
Let us also take this moment to remind you that our ultimate treasure is not found in earthly possessions but in Christ. Jesus said in Matthew 6:19-21, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."*
We pray now, lifting this request before the throne of grace:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who sees and knows all things, and that nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would guide ### to the place where these wooden toys may be found. Lord, we pray that You would calm any anxiety or frustration in their heart and replace it with peace that surpasses all understanding, as Your Word promises in Philippians 4:6-7.
Father, we also ask that You would search ###’s heart and reveal any areas where they may be holding onto earthly things too tightly. Help them to surrender all to You, trusting in Your provision and care. Remind them that their true treasure is in You, and that nothing in this world can compare to the riches of Your love and grace.
Lord, if these toys are not found, we pray that You would use this situation to draw ### closer to You. Teach them to rely on You in all things, big and small, and to find their joy and satisfaction in You alone. May this experience be an opportunity for growth in faith and trust.
We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. Amen.
We encourage you to trust in the Lord’s timing and purposes, even if the outcome is not what you expect. Continue to seek Him first in all things, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). If there is any unconfessed sin or idolatry in your heart, we urge you to repent and turn fully to Christ, for He alone is worthy of our devotion.
