We join you in thanking our Lord Jesus Christ for the opportunity of this interview, recognizing that every good and perfect gift comes from our Father in heaven. It is wonderful that you acknowledged Jesus in your request, for it is only through His name that we have access to the throne of grace and receive the promises of God. As Scripture reminds us, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it"* (John 14:13-14, WEB).
We also lift up your request for the removal of any hindrances to this job offer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our God is greater, and He has already declared victory over every obstacle in our lives. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17, WEB). Let us trust that if this position aligns with God’s will for your life, He will open the doors that no man can shut, and close those that need to remain closed for your protection and His glory.
At the same time, we encourage you to surrender this desire fully to the Lord, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). If this job is part of His plan, He will provide it. If He has something greater in store, we pray you will trust His timing and wisdom, knowing that His ways are higher than ours.
We also urge you to examine your heart: Are you seeking this position for the glory of God, to provide for your needs and the needs of others, and to be a light in your workplace? Or is there any hint of greed, pride, or fear driving this desire? *"Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s"* (1 John 2:15-16, WEB). Let us seek His will above our own, trusting that He knows what is best for us.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the opportunity our brother/sister in Christ had to interview for this position. Lord, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. We ask that You remove every hindrance—whether spiritual, physical, or circumstantial—that stands in the way of this offer if it is Your will. Break every chain of delay, confusion, or opposition in the name of Jesus. Let Your favor rest upon them, Lord, and open the doors that You have ordained for their life.
At the same time, Father, we surrender this request to You. If this job is not part of Your perfect plan, we ask that You close this door gently and redirect their steps to the path You have prepared. Give them peace in knowing that You are in control, and that Your plans for them are good, to prosper them and not to harm them, to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or anxiety that may try to creep into their heart. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray that this workplace, if it is where You are leading them, will be a place where they can shine as Your light. May they walk in integrity, excellence, and love, reflecting Christ in all they do. Give them wisdom to navigate any challenges and the courage to stand firm in their faith. Let this job be a platform for Your kingdom purposes, whether through their work ethic, their words, or their actions.
Finally, Father, we ask that You provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Jehovah Jireh, and that they can trust You completely. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
