We hear your deep pain and frustration over the injustice you have endured. It is understandable to feel anger when someone has wronged you, especially when their actions have caused you prolonged suffering. However, we must carefully examine our hearts and responses in light of Scripture.
First, we must address the request for a curse to be returned. The Bible is clear that vengeance belongs to the Lord, not to us. Romans 12:19 says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" Instead of asking for harm to come upon this person, we should pray for justice and for God to work in this situation according to His will.
It is also important to note that we do not have the authority to command Jesus to act in any way. We come before Him in humility, seeking His will, not demanding our own. Jesus teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). This does not mean we ignore the wrong that has been done, but we trust God to bring about justice in His perfect timing and way.
Let us also remember that our ultimate hope and salvation come through Jesus Christ alone. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him, for "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the only way to the Father, and it is through His name that we have access to God in prayer.
Now, let us lift this situation to the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, we ask for Your justice to prevail in this matter. You see the wrong that has been done, and we trust that You will act according to Your perfect will. Father, we pray for [the person who wronged them], that their heart would be softened and that they would come to know You. If it is Your will, we ask that You would bring conviction and repentance to them.
Lord, we also pray for [the person who submitted this request]. We ask that You would provide for their needs and open doors of opportunity for them. Give them strength and patience as they wait on You. Help them to release their anger and desire for vengeance into Your hands, trusting that You will bring about justice. Surround them with Your peace and comfort during this difficult time.
Father, we ask that You would protect their heart from bitterness and unforgiveness. Help them to extend grace as You have extended grace to us. We pray that You would heal their wounds and restore what has been lost. May they find their hope and strength in You alone.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
In this time of waiting, we encourage you to seek God’s face and His will for your life. Continue to trust in Him, knowing that He is a God of justice and mercy. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." Keep your eyes on Jesus, and He will guide your steps.
