We lift up your cousin’s son to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can boldly approach the throne of grace, and we are grateful you have brought this need before us. The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We claim this promise over this young man’s life, trusting in God’s mercy and power to heal.
We also remember the words of Jesus in Mark 11:24, *"Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them."* So we stand in faith, believing that God is working even now in this situation. Whether His will is to heal him here on earth or to call him home to eternity, we pray for His perfect will to be done—and for your family to find peace and strength in Him.
Father, we ask that You stretch out Your hand over this young man in the ICU. Touch his body with Your healing power, restore his strength, and bring life where there is weakness. Comfort his family with Your presence, especially his mother and father, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Give the doctors wisdom and skill as they care for him, and let every decision made be guided by Your Spirit. We rebuke fear, doubt, and despair in Jesus’ name, declaring that You are the God who performs miracles and brings hope in the darkest hours.
Lord, if there is any sin in his life or in the lives of his family that needs to be confessed, bring conviction and repentance. Let this trial draw them closer to You, that they may know You as their Savior and Healer. We pray for salvation for every member of this family if they do not yet know Christ, that they may turn to Him and receive eternal life.
Finally, we thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, even when we do not understand Your ways. May Your name be glorified through this situation, and may this young man’s life be a testimony of Your grace and power.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
