We hear your deep concern and pain regarding the unjust treatment you and other staff of color are experiencing in your workplace. Racism is a sin that grieves the heart of God, for He created all people in His image, without regard to ethnicity or skin color. Scripture tells us, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28). The mistreatment you describe is not only ungodly but also a direct violation of the love and unity Christ calls us to embody.
We must also address the fact that this request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). It is through His name alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we are reconciled to God and to one another. If you have not placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the salvation He offers. The Bible says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Without Christ, we remain separated from God, but through Him, we are adopted into God’s family and called to love one another as He has loved us.
Now, let us lift this situation to the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the injustice and racial division taking place in this school. Lord, You are a God of justice, righteousness, and love, and You despise oppression in all its forms. We ask that You would expose the darkness of racism in this workplace and bring it to light. Father, we pray for the staff of color who have been singled out and overworked—comfort them, strengthen them, and remind them of their worth in Your eyes. Give them courage to stand firm in their dignity as Your beloved children.
We pray for those who are perpetuating this injustice, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the harm they are causing. Convict them of their sin and lead them to repentance. May Your Holy Spirit move in this school to bring unity, fairness, and respect among all staff members. Raise up godly leaders who will advocate for justice and model Your love.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and guidance for those who are suffering. Show them how to respond in a way that honors You—whether through speaking up, seeking godly counsel, or trusting You to fight on their behalf. Protect their hearts from bitterness and resentment, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we declare that racism has no place in Your kingdom, and we rebuke this spirit of division in the name of Jesus. We ask that You would heal the brokenness in this workplace and restore relationships according to Your will. May Your name be glorified as justice, love, and unity prevail. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from trusted believers who can stand with you in this difficult time. If the mistreatment continues or escalates, it may be necessary to involve higher authorities or legal channels to address the injustice. Remember, "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6), and He will not ignore the cries of His children.
Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God sees your struggles and will not abandon you. "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). Trust in Him to bring about justice and restoration in His perfect timing.
