Prayer Request for Our Long Journey to Visit ###

My mother suffered a thrombotic stroke at the end of January last year, which left the left side of her body paralyzed. In November, she was further diagnosed with stage IV nasopharyngeal cancer. Since mid-March this year, she has been in and out of the hospital, including two emergency visits due to urinary tract infections. After a very difficult period in the hospital, she was finally discharged and returned home to rest on April 22. On April 29, a home hospice nurse visited and observed that my mother’s breathing interruptions have become increasingly severe, and she may not have much time left. My sister has decided not to send her back to the hospital. During this holiday period, transportation has been extremely crowded, but my husband and I were finally able to secure high-speed rail tickets for tomorrow so we can go back to visit her. We truly hope we can make it in time to see my mother. We ask for prayers that Jesus would grant us restful sleep tonight and protect our long journey, making it safe and smooth. We also pray for His mercy upon my mother, that her suffering may be eased, and that my sister would be given sufficient strength to care for her through every moment. Thank you so much for your prayers!

We lift this heavy burden before the Lord with hearts full of compassion and faith. Your journey to be with your mother in her final days is sacred, and we stand with you in prayer, asking our Heavenly Father to go before you, beside you, and behind you every step of the way.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician and the Prince of Peace. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over this journey. Calm any anxiety or restlessness in their hearts tonight, granting them deep and restful sleep so they may rise refreshed and ready for the road ahead. Guard their path, Lord—every mile, every turn, every moment. Let no harm come near them, and let Your angels encamp around them as they travel. We declare Your promise from Psalm 121:7-8 over them: *"The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore."*

We also lift up this dear mother, who has endured so much suffering. Lord, You see her pain, her weariness, and her struggle. We ask for Your tender mercy to ease her discomfort, to bring moments of peace, and to surround her with Your presence. If it be Your will, we pray for a miraculous touch—whether through healing, comfort, or a gentle passing into Your eternal arms. We trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that even in suffering, You are near. As it is written in Psalm 34:18, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."*

For the sister who has been a faithful caregiver, we pray for supernatural strength, patience, and grace. May she feel the Holy Spirit’s sustaining power in every moment, and may she find rest in knowing that her love and care are seen and honored by You. We declare over her the words of Isaiah 40:31: *"But those who wait for the Lord will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."*

Lord, we also ask that You prepare the hearts of this family for whatever lies ahead. If this is the time for Your child to come home, give them peace and the assurance of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Let there be no regrets, no unfinished words, and no lingering burdens—only love, closure, and the hope of reunion in Your presence. We hold fast to Your promise in John 14:1-3: *"Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also."*

We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that may try to grip this family, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation, whether through healing, comfort, or a peaceful transition. May Your name be exalted, and may this family draw closer to You through it all. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

May you feel the Lord’s presence with you in a tangible way as you travel. Lean on Him, for He is your strength and your shield. Even in the midst of sorrow, He is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Safe travels, and may you find His peace that transcends all understanding.

We're here with you, dear friend, as you embark on this long journey to be by your ###'s side. We're lifting you up in prayer, asking for God's protection and guidance over your travels. May He grant you both a peaceful night's sleep and a safe, smooth journey tomorrow. We're trusting in His care, knowing that even in the midst of uncertainty, He is with you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

Thank you all so much for your prayers!

It is now close to midnight, and my husband and I have finally returned home safely. Although we were able to see my mother, my brother, and my sister, it has been a very long and exhausting day for us. We came home with heavy hearts and weary bodies.

My mother’s fever suddenly subsided today, which seemed like a sign of improvement. However, seeing her with so many medical tubes was deeply shocking and heartbreaking—oxygen support, a feeding tube, suction tubes, and a urinary catheter.

The moment we walked in and saw my brother and sister struggling to manage everything, along with my mother’s painful cries and words we could not understand, it felt like stepping into a living nightmare. We could all sense that everyone’s stress has reached its limit, including my husband and me. For the sake of my mother, we are all doing our best to endure.

We humbly ask for Jesus’ mercy upon every member of our family, that we may find strength and relief in this difficult time. We also pray that my mother’s suffering may be eased, even just a little. Please pray that my brother and sister will be given enough love, patience, and strength to continue caring for her.

Thank you again, from the bottom of our hearts, for your prayers!

We are deeply moved by your request and have been lifting you, your mother, and your family up in prayer these past days. Thank you for allowing us the privilege of standing in agreement with you before the Lord during this tender and sacred time. We have prayed earnestly for your journey—that the Lord would grant you restful sleep, shield you from all harm, and guide each step with His peace. We asked our Heavenly Father to prepare the way before you, calming every obstacle and filling your hearts with His presence, especially as you travel to be near your mother.

We also continue to intercede for your dear mother, asking Jesus to surround her with His comfort, ease her suffering, and draw near to her in these precious moments. May His mercy be tangible, and may His love sustain her in ways only He can provide. For your sister, we have prayed for an outpouring of strength, wisdom, and grace as she cares for your mother with love and devotion. May the Lord uphold her, refresh her spirit, and remind her that she is not alone.

If the Lord has answered any of these prayers—whether in the journey, your mother’s comfort, or your sister’s endurance—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony of God’s faithfulness will uplift us all. If, however, the journey ahead still feels uncertain or the burden remains heavy, please know we are here to continue praying with you. You may post this request again, and we will stand with you once more, trusting in God’s perfect timing and unfailing love.

May the Lord bless you and your family with His peace that surpasses all understanding as you walk this path together. May He remind you of His nearness, His promises, and the hope we have in Christ. We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
