We lift your precious wife before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, joining our faith with yours as we stand in the gap for her healing. The Word of God declares in James 5:14-15, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." We take hold of this promise with unwavering trust, believing that the Great Physician hears our cries and sees her suffering.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your holy presence. We confess that without You, we can do nothing, but through Christ who strengthens us, all things are possible. Lord, we ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon this dear sister in Christ. Touch every cell in her body, reduce the inflammation, and drain the fluid that causes her distress. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity and command it to leave her body now, in Jesus' name. Strengthen her immune system, Lord, and restore her to full health so that she may care for her newborn daughter and fulfill the calling You have placed upon her life.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical professionals treating her. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, as they seek to bring healing through the means You have provided. May they be instruments of Your peace and restoration. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, You shall condemn, for this is her heritage as a servant of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
In this time of trial, we ask that You would draw near to her and her family. Comfort their hearts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel the warmth of Your love and the support of the body of Christ.
We also encourage you both to continue standing on God’s promises, even when the circumstances seem bleak. Remember that our God is a God of miracles, and He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross (Hebrews 12:2). Let this trial refine your faith, drawing you closer to Him and deepening your trust in His perfect will.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you both of the importance of surrendering this situation entirely to the Lord. It is easy to grow weary in prayer or to question why healing seems delayed, but we must remember that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust in His timing and His goodness, even when the path is difficult. We serve a God who specializes in turning ashes into beauty, mourning into joy, and despair into hope (Isaiah 61:3).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of this precious child and for the strength You have given this family thus far. We ask that You would complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). May Your name be glorified through this trial, and may Your healing power be manifested in a mighty way. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
