We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and this assignment that weighs on him. Father, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask for Your divine intervention in this situation, Lord. If it is Your will, we pray for supernatural favor—that ### would not be chosen for this responsibility and that it would be shifted to someone else. We ask that the hearts of the decision-makers would be turned away from him, just as You turned the heart of King Xerxes toward Esther (Esther 2:17).
Yet, Lord, we also know that Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), and if this assignment is part of Your plan for ###, we ask that You fill him with Your strength, peace, and a positive spirit. Let him walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You are with him, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5). Guard his mind from discouragement, fear, or overwhelming thoughts, and replace them with Your clarity, hope, and stability. Let him feel Your love and support in every moment, knowing that he is never alone.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or dread that may be trying to take hold of him, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that ### is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Whether the outcome is what he hopes for or not, we pray that You would guide him, steady him, and help him stay strong and focused in the work ahead. Let him see Your hand at work in every detail, and may his faith grow as he trusts in You.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your perfect will for ###’s life, knowing that You are good and that Your plans for him are for welfare and not for evil, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
