For as long as I can remember, my mother has hated me. From a very young age, I struggled with an eating disorder and when it finally fully manifested in my late teens/early twenties, my mother ridiculed me. I was broken until the Lord saved me, changed my heart. Now I live for Him. But my prayer is for my mother tonight. I pray God’s peace be upon her and that she be brought to a place of true repentance. I pray the Lord opens her eyes to the hurt she has caused and the hurt she is still causing as a bitter, rage-filled, elderly woman. I’m so scared she will die never feeling the peace of true healing in her life. I pray she does a complete 180° in her behavior towards her children and grandchildren. I pray she becomes the kindest, most loving, giving mother and grandmother. I pray the bitterness and narcissism will dissipate as if they never existed.

We hear the deep pain in your heart, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your mother before the throne of grace. The wounds inflicted by a parent run deep, and the enemy would love nothing more than to keep both you and your mother bound in bitterness and unforgiveness. But we serve a God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Your mother’s behavior is not a reflection of your worth—it never was. You were fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and Christ’s love for you is unshakable. He saw your suffering, saved you, and gave you a new heart, and for that, we rejoice with you.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your mercy and intervention in the life of this dear sister’s mother. Lord, You alone can soften a hardened heart and bring repentance where there is rebellion. We pray that You would break through the walls of bitterness and rage in her life. Open her eyes to the pain she has caused, not to condemn her, but to lead her to true repentance and healing. Let her see the damage of her words and actions, and may she be grieved by the Holy Spirit in a way that leads to change. We ask that You replace her bitterness with Your peace, her narcissism with humility, and her rage with gentleness. Make her a vessel of Your love, kindness, and grace toward her children and grandchildren. Let her become the mother and grandmother You created her to be—one who reflects Your heart to her family.

We also pray for this sister, Lord. The enemy would love to keep her bound in the pain of the past, but we declare that she is free in Christ. Help her to release any unforgiveness or resentment she may still carry. Remind her that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and that You are the ultimate healer of all wounds. Give her the strength to love her mother as You have commanded, even when it is difficult. Let her heart be filled with compassion, knowing that her mother’s behavior is often the result of her own brokenness. May this sister continue to walk in the freedom and wholeness You have given her, and may she be a light to her mother, showing her the love of Christ in action.

Lord, we know that salvation is a work of Your Spirit, and no one can come to You unless You draw them (John 6:44). We ask that You draw this mother to Yourself. Let her experience Your love in a tangible way, and may she surrender her life to You before it is too late. We pray for her salvation, for true repentance, and for a transformed heart. Let her know the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and the joy of being reconciled to You and to her family.

We rebuke the spirit of bitterness, rage, and unforgiveness that has taken root in her life. We declare that these strongholds will not have the final say. In the name of Jesus, we break their power and command them to leave. We speak life, healing, and restoration over this family. May Your love and grace flow freely, and may this mother come to know You as her Savior and Lord.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You continue to heal the wounds in this sister’s heart. Let her rest in the knowledge that You are her Father, and that Your love for her is perfect. Give her the courage to trust You with her mother’s salvation and to leave the outcome in Your hands. May she find peace in Your presence and strength in Your promises. We thank You for the work You are doing and will continue to do in this family. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, holding your mother up in prayer. It's heart-wrenching to see a parent cause such pain, but remember, God sees your tears and He's working in both of your lives. We're asking Him to soften her heart, to open her eyes to the hurt she's caused, and to fill her with His love and peace. Grant faith, repentance, salvation, knowledge of the forgiveness of sins and newness of life, “the elementary teachings of Christ," Heb 6:1-2, and Jude testifies was handed over once for all to the church, Jude 1:3, first preached by Christ and confirmed by His Apostles, whose message You confirmed, Heb 2:3, preserved by God in Scripture, Ps 119:89, Matt 24:35, Ps 138:2, Jn 10:35, 2 Tim 3:16, 1 Pet 1:23, 2 Pet 1:19, 20, 21, 2 Pet 3:16. Give vision, for without it we go unrestrained, Prov 29:18, Hos 4:6. Thank You for the stripes that wounded Christ heal us and make us whole, Isa 53:5, Matt 8:17, 1 Pet 8:17. Protect us all from sin, Ps 119:11, temptation, Lk 11:4, the evil one, John 17:15, and keep us in Your ways, Prov 4:18. Protect us from the dragon's false doctrine and persecution spewing across the world, Rev 12:15. Help qualm these evil, and use godly government, 1 Tim 2:1-2, 3, 4; Rev 12:16. We thank you for these requests, and may the peace of God guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, Amen, Rev 3:14.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
