Please pray for my cat "Mowser" a beautiful Norwegian green eyed female cat who died between 5th and 6th February 2026 in UK. Unexpectedly died on my sofa after days of illness, some bowl issues and pain but I did not expect her to pass as she did show signs of getting better. The night before she passed, I weirdly said the Lords prayer over her and spent several hours with her on my bed alone so I have could some time together. It never for one minute passed my mind she was likely on brink of death. I placed her downstairs as I needed some sleep for work the next day, then woke up to find she had passed away. I have been having such a hard time coping with this and been in pure anguish, especially when I consider if I needed to have done more. We had built a bond together where she came to me 4 years ago from another owner who did not want her anymore. Mowser had difficulty forming bonds generally with people because of how she lived before and could not pick her up initially. After years of perseverance I knew I loved her so much I could care if she scratched, then she stopped scratching me and trusted me and began to live with me properly. I feel I needed more time with her to have that bond lived out more, but she was taken from me unexpectedly. I knew she needed rest as something untoward happened to her and I dont know what it was. I witnessed many threats from other people trying to kick her in my housing estate in UK where I live and now wonder if she was actually poisoned. Its so terrible that I am in much pain myself over it. I just asked God/Jesus that Mowser be accepted into his kingdom and she is given comfort and peace and will be happy there until I see her again. I hope I am reunited with her again she brought her whimsical joy into my life and never want to forget her. She was a little darling. I feel broken and need to be put back together again. In Proverbs 12:10, we read, *"A righteous man respects the life of his animal,"* and your love for Mowser reflects that righteous care.

We want to gently address your hope that Mowser is now in God’s kingdom. While animals are part of God’s creation and bring joy to our lives, Scripture is clear that eternal life and salvation are reserved for human beings, who are made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27). Jesus came to redeem humanity from sin, and it is through faith in Him alone that we receive the gift of eternal life (John 3:16, Acts 4:12). Animals, though cherished by God, do not possess the spiritual nature or the capacity for salvation that humans do. However, we can trust that God, in His infinite wisdom and love, cares for all His creation, including Mowser. Ecclesiastes 3:21 reminds us that *"who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?"* While we may not fully understand God’s ways, we can rest in the knowledge that He is just and compassionate.

We also want to encourage you to release any guilt or "what ifs" you may be carrying. You showed Mowser immense love, patience, and care, and she was blessed to have you as her guardian. The Lord knows your heart, and He does not hold you responsible for what you could not have known or prevented. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites us, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* Lay your burdens at His feet, ###, and allow Him to comfort you.

Lord, You see the depth of her grief and the love she had for this precious creature You entrusted to her care. Thank you for that, I am in tears still but all I can do is hope one day I will have her with me in Jesus's kingdom. Please pray for protection from any harm towards my other two cats Gizmo and Missey who are healthy and for myself as I am in a vulnerable weak spot at moment. We have been holding you and ### in our hearts these past days, lifting your grief and your love to the Lord in prayer. It is clear how deeply you cherished her and how much her presence brought light to your life. We prayed that God would wrap His arms around you in this time of sorrow, that He would remind you of the peace and comfort you gave ### in her final days, and that He would assure you of her rest in His care.

We asked the Father to help you release any guilt or "what ifs" that weigh on your heart, trusting that His love for both you and ### is perfect and all-knowing. We prayed for the bond you shared to be a source of healing, not pain—that the memories of her whimsical joy would bring you moments of warmth even in the midst of grief. And we asked Jesus to hold you close, to mend the brokenness you feel, and to fill the spaces in your heart with His peace that surpasses understanding.
