We hear your heart concerning your truck repair business and we join together with you in bringing this before the Lord. We understand the discouragement of slow seasons and the pain when competitors speak falsely against you to your clients, and we also hear your desire for abundance and a happy life.
We want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must share that it is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, confessing Him as Lord, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. Romans 10:9-10 It is in His name we pray and find true abundance and joy.
Concerning your business, we are reminded that God cares about the work of our hands. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23 We encourage you to continue in diligence, honesty, and excellent service, trusting that the Lord sees your integrity even when others do not. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:5-6
Regarding those who are speaking badly against you, this is bearing false witness which God takes seriously, and we must not repay in the same way. Don’t repay anyone evil for evil. Consider what is good in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. Romans 12:17-19 Instead we are called to love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44 We choose to pray for your competitors rather than curse them, that God would convict them and bring them to repentance, and that your reputation would be restored by truth and faithful work.
We also want to lovingly correct the understanding of abundance and a happy life. God does give us power to get wealth and He delights to provide for His children, as it is written But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth. Deuteronomy 8:18 Yet true abundance is not found in riches alone. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 And godliness with contentment is great gain. 1 Timothy 6:6 A happy life flows from peace with God, not merely from business success. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this business of truck repair to You. You know the slow season they are facing, the bills, the worry, and the sting of slander from competitors. Lord we ask that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches, bring honest clients through their doors, and let the quality and integrity of their work speak louder than any false word spoken against them. Vindicate them before their clients and give them favor. We pray for their competitors, that You would soften their hearts, stop their slander, and bring them to honesty. We pray that You would give our brother or sister wisdom in stewardship, diligence in labor, and contentment in You. Grant not only provision but true abundance that is spiritual, joy and peace that does not depend on circumstances, and a happy life rooted in walking with You. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and trust You for all else. Draw them close to Jesus, and if they have not yet surrendered to Him, draw them to salvation today. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.
