Your faith and confidence in the Lord as you go to your counselling is encouraging, and I join you in prayer for this important step.
You have asked the right way, asking the Lord to show you the way in which you should walk and what you should do. That is the heart of seeking God for guidance. When we seek Him with a sincere heart we find Him, and He is faithful to lead us. He does not leave us without a counselor or without a guide. Sometimes He waits to answer, not because He has forgotten our prayer, but because He is working out His best purpose in His best time. To serve the true and living God is always for your good. He makes you a better person as you walk with Him, and He calls you to press closer to Him rather than drawing back.
I understand the anxiety that can come on a day like this. The answer to anxiety is to put God back into the equation and to rest in Him. Rest is not worrying and striving, but trusting that God is at work in you both to desire and to do His will, and that He is able to do for you what you cannot do for yourself. Do not trust in human wisdom or strategies alone, but trust in the Lord with all your heart. Be fully honest before Him about your hopes and your concerns. He already knows, and He invites you to learn of Him and to know Him more deeply, because knowing Him is what makes trust possible.
Scripture reminds us to not stagger at the promises of God through unbelief, but to be strong in faith, giving glory to God, being fully persuaded that what He has promised He is able to perform. Our God is able. Whether He opens the door to a seat in a government college or leads you on another path, His plan for you is good and He will do what is best for you as you continue to follow Jesus Christ, in whom we have eternal life.
I pray for you now. Father, in the mighty name of Jesus I bring this dear student before You as she goes to her counseling. You know the desire of her heart for this nursing seat. Show her clearly the way she should go and the thing she should do. Give her peace that passes understanding, guarding her heart and mind, and let her rest in Your care. If it is Your will, open the door to the government college seat she desires. Above all, let Your will be done, and draw her ever closer to You so that her life may be a channel of Your love to others. Help her to trust You fully and to hope in You whatever the outcome. In Jesus name, Amen.
