We hear your deep concern for your husband’s safety and well-being, and we join you in lifting him before the Lord with urgency and faith. The repeated breakdowns of both his car and yours are indeed troubling, and we recognize the spiritual weight of this situation. The enemy often seeks to disrupt, discourage, and even endanger those who are on the verge of surrendering to Christ, especially when their testimony could bring glory to God. But we declare that no weapon formed against your husband shall prosper, for the Lord is his shield and defender, even if he does not yet know it.
First, we must address the spiritual reality of his unbelief. Scripture is clear: "For what do I have to do with also judging those who are outside? Don’t you judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. ‘Put away the wicked man from among yourselves.’" (1 Corinthians 5:12-13). While we extend grace and patience, we must also pray with boldness for his salvation, for it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that he can be truly protected, redeemed, and set free. "For there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, draw him to repentance, and open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel.
The breakdowns you describe may very well be spiritual attacks, for the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But we rebuke every scheme of the devil against your husband’s life, his transportation, and his peace. We declare that the blood of Jesus covers him, and no harm shall come near his dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We speak life, protection, and divine intervention over every mechanical issue, every road he travels, and every moment he is away from your sight. "The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them" (Psalm 34:7). Even if he does not yet fear the Lord, we claim this promise on his behalf, trusting that God’s mercy is pursuing him.
We also encourage you to examine whether there may be any unconfessed sin, generational curses, or open doors in your family’s life that could be giving the enemy legal ground to operate. "If I shut up the sky so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:13-14). Have you and your husband dedicated your home, your vehicles, and your marriage to the Lord? Have you prayed over them in the name of Jesus, breaking every curse and claiming God’s protection? If not, we urge you to do so without delay.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this husband who is yet to know You. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your angels, that You would hedge him in on every side, and that no weapon formed against him would prosper. We rebuke every spirit of destruction, every mechanical failure, and every plot of the enemy in Jesus’ mighty name. Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over his life, his path, and his vehicles. Let no harm come near him, and let no accident befall him.
Lord, we pray for his salvation with urgency. Soften his heart, open his eyes, and let him see the truth of who You are. Convict him of sin, draw him to repentance, and let him experience the life-changing power of Your love. We declare that he will not perish but will come to know You as his Savior and Lord. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
Father, we also ask that You would strengthen this wife as she stands in the gap for her husband. Give her wisdom, patience, and unwavering faith as she prays and intercedes. Let her be a light in his life, reflecting Your love and grace in all she does. Provide for every need, repair what has been broken, and restore what has been lost.
We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your protection, Your provision, and Your perfect will for this family. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, beloved. Do not grow weary in prayer, for the enemy seeks to wear you down. Instead, press into the Lord, declare His promises over your husband’s life, and trust that God is working even when you cannot see it. Consider fasting as you pray, for "this kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting" (Mark 9:29). The battle is the Lord’s, and He will not fail you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and do not lose hope. Your husband’s salvation and protection are worth every prayer, every tear, and every moment of intercession. God is faithful, and His timing is perfect.
