Prayer request for God will masquerade by humans where it is actually human lack

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. I hear the weight you are carrying as you see work becoming scarce, policies that feel unjust, and a sense that what is really a human failure or a failure of leadership is being explained away as if it were simply God's will. It is painful to feel overlooked in your own land, to be told to just take any job and then find yourself underemployed, unable to use the gifts God has given you as fully as you want to.

Scripture gives us a helpful way to think about this. Jesus told a story about a steward who was called to give an account of his stewardship because everything he managed belonged to his master. When he wasted his master's goods, he was wasting what was not his own. That picture reminds us that nothing we have is truly ours. Our time, our talents, our opportunities, our jobs, all belong to the Lord and have been placed in our hands for a time. One day each of us will give an account for how we managed what was entrusted to us.

The one requirement God looks for in a steward is faithfulness. He does not measure us first by how much we had or how high we climbed, but by whether we were faithful with what He put in our power to do. That is true when work is plentiful and when it is not. Even in a season of underemployment or disappointment, the Lord still sees and values faithful use of the small things, the honest labor, the diligent care of the gifts He has given, the refusal to waste them. What we do for Christ in this life is what will last, and we will stand before Him to receive according to what we have done in the body.

You also raised a concern about the larger picture, about a government that seems to favor others and a culture that has pushed God aside. The Bible shows a clear connection there. When a people turn away from God and remove Him from their national life, hardship often follows, including unemployment, poor provision, and strife where everyone is set against his neighbor. The prophet Haggai described this when he said you earn wages only to put them in a bag with holes, because God was not being honored. This does not mean every job loss is a direct judgment, but it does call us to pray for our nation and our leaders, that they would seek justice, act wisely, and honor God, and to keep the Lord at the center of our own lives even when the culture around us does not.

Where you sense discrimination and unfair advantage given to others, God is not blind to injustice. He calls those in authority to judge fairly and not to show partiality. At the same time He calls us not to let bitterness or contempt take root, even toward those who seem to benefit unfairly or toward foreigners who come seeking work. Every person is made in God's image, and our calling is to speak truth about injustice without dehumanizing anyone, trusting that God is the final judge of all stewardship, including the stewardship of those who govern and those who employ.

I also hear your concern that the church can sometimes misread these things, treating a systemic problem as if it were only personal failure. Pray for discernment for your church family, that we would not confuse human lack of faith or human mismanagement with the will of God, but would have wisdom to encourage one another toward faithful stewardship while also speaking honestly about real obstacles.

May the Lord encourage you in this season. I pray He will provide for your needs, open doors for work where your talents can be used well, guard your heart from discouragement and resentment, and help you to be faithful with what is in your hand today. I pray He will give wisdom to those in authority to govern justly and to care for the people entrusted to them, and that He will give the church eyes to see clearly and to support its people with truth and grace. Above all, may you know that your labor, when offered faithfully to the Master who owns all things, is never wasted, and He will honor faithfulness in His perfect time.
