Disciple of Prayer
Please join me in praying for a 50-year-old woman who is deeply in need of the Lord’s truth and mercy. She is intelligent, liberal, opinionated, and often believes she knows it all. She frequently refers to herself as having ADHD, but rather than seeking healing or peace, this has become a label she uses to deflect accountability and self-examination. She has resisted God’s call to repentance. When confronted with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, she offers excuses, avoids reflection, and argues instead of humbling herself before the Lord. She’s unwilling to see her spiritual condition and the need to surrender fully. I ask for powerful intercession. That God would:
• Soften her heart and remove her defenses
• Open her spiritual eyes to see Jesus not just as a concept, but as her only Savior
• Break the pride that blocks repentance, and give her a revelation of His love and holiness
• Replace confusion with clarity, blame with responsibility, and restlessness with peace
• Lead her to the end of herself—so she can find the beginning of life in Christ
A Prayer for Her Heart to Turn
"Lord Jesus, You came not for the righteous, but for sinners. You came to seek and save the lost. And today, I lift up this precious woman to You, because You love her more than I ever could."
Father God, I bring before You this woman who is struggling—though she doesn’t fully realize it. She resists correction, avoids reflection, and denies her need for a Savior. Pride, pain, confusion, and self-justification have built a wall around her heart. Lord, You see what’s behind that wall. You know the wounds, the fears, the disappointments, and the false identities she carries. You see the excuses she makes, not as rebellion alone, but as cries of someone who doesn’t yet know what it means to be truly known, forgiven, and loved by You. Your Word says, “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). I pray that You would bring her to the end of her self-sufficiency. Let her come face to face with her spiritual need. Not through shame, but through Your kindness that leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4).
Lord, if it takes discomfort, allow it. If it takes loss, allow it. If it takes silence, brokenness, or frustration—use it for her eternal good. Break her pride. Strip away her excuses. Confront her with truth. But also, Lord—surround her with Your love. Show her the grace she’s never known. Let her encounter You in a way that no argument, no diagnosis, no distraction can deflect. Give her a Damascus Road experience, just as You did with Saul. Let the scales fall from her eyes. Let her become like the prodigal daughter, coming to her senses and running back to her Father.
We bind every lying spirit, every spirit of confusion, rebellion, and pride in the name of Jesus. We speak freedom over her mind and soul. And we ask You, Lord, create in her a clean heart and renew a right spirit within her (Psalm 51:10). May this be the year of her awakening. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
