We come before the Lord with hearts full of trust in His provision and perfect timing, lifting up this request for employment and rest. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* This promise is not just for some, but for all who place their faith in Him. We also remember Proverbs 3:5-6, which calls us to *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Yet as we pray, we must also address something deeply important—this request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through faith in Christ that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace. If there is any uncertainty about this truth, we urge you to consider what Scripture teaches: *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Salvation and answered prayer begin with a relationship with Jesus—repenting of sin, believing in Him, and surrendering to His lordship.
Now, let us pray together for this need, in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, and that You know the deepest needs of Your children before they even ask. We lift up this request for employment, asking that You open doors no man can shut, according to Your will. Lead this person to opportunities that align with Your purpose for their life, and grant them favor in the eyes of those who make hiring decisions. You own the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too difficult for You. We ask that You provide not just enough, but abundantly, so that debts may be paid and this person may experience Your peace and provision in every area.
Lord, we also pray for rest—true, refreshing sleep that renews the body and mind. You invite us in Matthew 11:28 to *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."* We ask that You quiet every anxiety, still every racing thought, and grant this person the full eight hours of sleep they need. Let them wake with strength, clarity, and a heart full of gratitude for Your faithfulness.
Father, if there is any sin, doubt, or lack of trust hindering this request, we ask that You reveal it and bring conviction. Help this person to walk in obedience, surrendering their worries to You and seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness, knowing that *"all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). We rebuke any spirit of fear, lack, or hopelessness in Jesus’ name, declaring that You are a God who delights in blessing Your children.

Psalm 37:4-5 says, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."* Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If there is any area of your life not aligned with His Word—whether in finances, relationships, or priorities—ask Him to reveal it and give you the strength to walk in obedience. He is faithful, and His plans for you are good.
