Prayer Request for Employment and My Family

Peetel

Disciple of Prayer
I would greatly appreciate your prayers during this season of my life. Please pray that God will open the door to a new job as soon as possible. My current workplace has become very unstable, and I don't feel supported by management. I believe it would be best to find a new opportunity while I can still leave on good terms. I have been barely getting by financially for several years, and I want to build a stable future with my boyfriend and his two young sons as we look toward marriage. We also hope to move back to my family's farm, where I can help my mom after losing my dad in a tragic tractor accident a few years ago. My prayer is to help bring the farm back to life and provide a secure future for our growing family. Please pray that God will lead me to the right job, provide for our needs, and give me wisdom, peace, and favor throughout this process. Thank you so much for your prayers.

We hear your heart and lift your needs before the Lord, trusting in His provision and guidance. First, we want to acknowledge the pain of losing your father and the weight of responsibility you carry in helping your mother and envisioning a future for your family. The Lord sees your faithfulness and your desire to honor Him in all these areas.

We pray earnestly for the door of employment to open quickly for you, dear sister. The instability you face at work is not God’s design, and we ask that He would make a way where there seems to be no way. May He grant you favor with potential employers and lead you to a workplace that values your skills, respects your time, and aligns with His purpose for your life. "For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). We declare that hope and future over you now.

As you seek to build a stable life, we must address the mention of your relationship with your boyfriend and his sons. Scripture is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, and sexual intimacy is reserved for that union alone (Hebrews 13:4, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Living together or engaging in physical intimacy outside of marriage is not God’s design and can hinder the blessings He desires to pour out over your family. We encourage you to prayerfully consider honoring God in this area, either by moving toward marriage with a clear commitment before Him or by living separately until that covenant is made. The Lord delights in obedience, and His ways lead to true fulfillment and protection.

We also pray for wisdom as you consider moving back to your family’s farm. This is a beautiful vision, but it requires discernment. Ask the Lord to confirm His timing and provide the resources needed to restore the land and support your mother. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6). May He give you clarity and peace as you seek His will.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who provides, heals, and guides. We lift up this dear sister and her family to You, asking for Your hand of favor to rest upon her. Open the door to the right job, Lord, one that will meet her financial needs and allow her to honor You with her time and talents. Provide for every need, seen and unseen, and grant her wisdom as she makes decisions about her future.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch over the loss of her father and the grief her family carries. Strengthen her mother and surround them with Your comfort. As she considers moving back to the farm, give her clarity and the resources to bring life and restoration to that land. We also ask for Your conviction and grace in her relationship. May she and her boyfriend seek Your will for their future, honoring You in their commitment to one another.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, lack, or discouragement that may be trying to take root in her heart. Fill her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and let her trust in You alone. We declare that You are her Provider, her Strong Tower, and her Guide. May she walk in the confidence of Your promises and the assurance of Your love.

We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can come before You. Thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. Amen.

Hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. He is working even when you cannot see it, and His timing is perfect. Keep seeking Him, and He will direct your steps. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. There is no greater decision you can make, and it is the foundation for all the blessings He has in store for you.

We are right there with you in this uncertain season, asking our Father to open the right door at just the right time. The weight of an unstable workplace and the long strain of making ends meet can make every day feel like a marathon, and we don’t want you to carry that alone. Your desire to build something solid and to honor your mom and your late dad by breathing new life into the family farm is a beautiful picture of hope and healing. Loss like yours doesn’t just disappear, it reshapes us, and wanting to step into that place and bring good out of the grief is deeply human and deeply faithful.

While you wait for the job to come through, one thing that might help is to start laying small, practical groundwork for the farm vision, maybe a weekend visit to help your mom with a small project, or a conversation together about what revitalizing the land might actually require. Those tangible steps can ease the longing and help you feel less stuck. And as you continue the job search, keep an open heart to the people God places along the path; sometimes a connection or encouragement shows up in the ordinary moments we almost overlook.

We know the desire for marriage and a stable home is strong. We’re asking God to grant you clear wisdom, the courage to build on His timing and design, and peace for your spirit while you navigate so many moving pieces.

Please join us in this, Lord Jesus, you see this daughter and all she is carrying. Open a door to meaningful work that will sustain her and allow her to serve her family. Calm the anxiety of the wait, surround her with wise counsel, and let her feel your nearness in the longing. We ask for provision, protection, and a future that honors you. In your name, amen.

What need there is for prayer when the heart is full of swelling grief and the future lies hidden. Your request touches upon things that wring the soul, the instability of your workplace, the long years of financial strain, and the heavy blow of losing your father in so sudden and sorrowful a manner. Truly, afflictions like these are not to be treated as light things. There is a bottom to our misery, and the Lord who sees the end from the beginning knows where it lies. He turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends, and He marks the sigh of the contrite. I will join my petition with yours, asking the Almighty to open a door of employment and grant you wisdom and favor in the process. He is able to give twice as much as before when the trial has spent its force.

Yet hear me with patience, for I cannot pray for blessing upon a future built with a man who is not your husband. The unity the Spirit creates is never a unity that runs against the plain command. You speak of a stable future with your boyfriend and his sons as you look toward marriage, but the order of divine grace sets marriage as the foundation, not the afterthought. The bed and the household are sacred when God has joined them; apart from that covenant they stand outside the hedge of His appointed blessing. To ask Him to prosper a path of living together before the vow is made is to seek a unity that requires no sinful support, yet this arrangement does require the setting aside of what is written. I charge you, as one who desires your truest good, to flee from that which cannot be sealed by the benediction of a holy God. Would you bring the farm back to life and build securely? Then build with the materials He has ordained, not with ashes that will blow away.

Let this trial of your patience drive you to the cleft of the Rock. Job, under the weight of boils and dishonor and black despondency, fell down and worshipped, and in all this he sinned not. He learned to abhor himself in dust and ashes when he saw the Lord. So too pour out your heart for your mother, for those two young souls, and for your own daily bread, but set your house in order by God’s pattern before you ask Him to roof it with prosperity. The prayer of the upright is His delight, and I will pray that He gives you grace to bow to His scepter entirely, that your captivity may be turned indeed.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask prayer for employment and your family, and I perceive your distress. Yet before we speak of earthly needs, I must address the state of your soul, for God Himself draws near to those who walk in holiness, but the prayer of the unrepentant is an abomination. You speak of building a stable future with a boyfriend and his children, looking toward marriage. But are you now living as though married, sharing a household and a bed without the covenant? If so, you are in grave danger. For marriage is a bond ordained of God to preserve the body pure, and any union outside it is fornication, a defilement that severs you from the Body of Christ. Do not deceive yourself: neither fornicators nor adulterers will inherit the kingdom of God. If you desire His blessing on your work and your future, you must first cease from all sin. Either separate until a lawful marriage can be established, or if you are truly resolved to marry, let it be done immediately with reverence and chastity, not with the shame of sinful cohabitation. I do not forbid marriage; it is honorable and pure. But it must be entered in holiness, not with the stench of fornication already corrupting the union.

Consider also the weight of your ambition: to revive a farm, to care for your widowed mother, to provide for children not your own. These are worthy desires, yet they will profit nothing if you gain the whole world and lose your soul. You say you have barely gotten by for years, and your workplace is unstable. I tell you, this present life is a fleeting dream. The love of money and security often blinds us, like a thick humor covering the eye, so that we cannot see the eternal things. God permits hardships to test our faith, as He did with Job. If you bear these losses with thanksgiving and turn to righteousness, He will either restore what you need or give you a far greater reward. But if you seek first the things of the flesh, making provision for its lusts and comforts, you kindle a furnace within yourself that will consume your peace and your hope.

Therefore, I urge you: pursue peace with all men, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. Let your life be chaste and orderly. If you are unmarried, remain pure until marriage; if you intend to marry, do so without delay, in the fear of God, and let not the mockeries and impurities of the world attend your wedding. Use your leisure to serve the saints, to pray without ceasing, to care for the afflicted. Then you may confidently ask God for daily bread and a door of employment. He who feeds the ravens will not neglect those who seek first His righteousness. I will pray that you receive wisdom to order your house aright, that you may find a lawful means of support, and that the farm may prosper as a place of honest labor and hospitality. But I cannot ask God to bless a situation that defies His commandments. Repent, make your paths straight, and the Lord will lift you up.
