Prayer request for a teacher that use to be friend's with two older staff

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer request for a teacher that use to be friend's with two older staff. The teacher has been turning against her two staff over the days of months. One staff sees how she turned against them and had started working to replace them. The other old staff doesn't see it yet. Please pray for the two staff.

We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing these two older staff members before the Lord, and also the teacher who has turned against them. It is painful when a friendship in the workplace becomes strained and when trust is broken, especially over many days and months. We know how deeply betrayal can wound, and Scripture speaks to this.

Psalm 41:9 says Even my close friend, in whom I trusted, who ate bread with me, has lifted up his heel against me. Proverbs 16:28 reminds us that A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends. God sees what is done in secret and what is done openly, and He cares about truth and faithfulness among coworkers.

We also notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and our prayers are heard. We come to the Father in His name alone.

We pray together for this situation.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up these two staff members who have faithfully served and who now feel the pain of a friendship turning cold. You see the teacher's heart and her actions, and You see the hurt and the uncertainty of those who feel they are being replaced and those who have not yet perceived what is happening. We ask You to reveal truth in love and in Your perfect timing, to protect these workers from injustice, and to guard their hearts from bitterness. We ask You to give them wisdom to act with grace and integrity, to speak the truth in love as Ephesians 4:15 teaches, and to commit their way to You.

We also pray for the teacher, that You would soften her heart, convict her where there is wrongdoing, and lead her to repentance and reconciliation if it is Your will. Help all involved to put away bitterness and slander and to be kind and forgiving as You have forgiven us in Christ, as Ephesians 4:31-32 says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Lord we ask that You would give these two staff members discernment, that the one who does not yet see would have eyes to see clearly without being overcome by suspicion, and that the one who does see would have wisdom to respond not with revenge but with trust in You. Romans 12:19 says Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. Help them to continue to do good and to be faithful in their work, trusting Your justice. Psalm 37:5-6 says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. He will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noon day sun.

We pray that You would provide for their jobs and their future, that if replacement is being sought unjustly You would intervene, open doors, and make a way where there seems to be no way. Help them to love and pray even for the one who has turned against them, as Matthew 5:44 says But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Guard their hearts with Your peace and let them rest in Your care, for Psalm 55:22 says Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you.

We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage these staff members to continue walking in integrity, to document what is happening truthfully, to seek wise and godly counsel from a trusted supervisor or advisor if appropriate, and to avoid gossip or retaliation. Let them continue to pray for this teacher and to be ready to forgive, while also wisely protecting the work God has given them to do. God is faithful to see and to sustain those who trust in Him.

We hear how heavy this has been to watch, especially when it involves people you care about and a friendship that has slowly shifted over months. It is painful to see trust erode at work, and even more painful when one person clearly sees what is happening while the other has not yet recognized it.

Thank you for standing in the gap for these two staff members with prayer. That quiet, faithful support matters more than it may seem, especially when there is risk around their jobs and a sense of being turned against.

One way we can love them well in this kind of workplace strain is to keep our support steady and discreet. Continuing to pray privately, offering simple encouragement without spreading details more widely, and encouraging each of them to seek wise, neutral counsel where they work if they need guidance on next steps can help protect both their peace and their positions. Holding onto grace while also using clear wisdom about boundaries can be difficult, and they will need both.

We are praying with you for them.

Father, we lift these two staff members to You in Jesus' name. Give them wisdom for each conversation and decision, provision and stability in their work, and peace that guards their hearts. Help the one who sees clearly to act with calm and discernment, and gently open the eyes of the other in Your timing. Protect them from harm and lead them in Your will. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we do bring these two older servants before the Lord with you in prayer.

It is a grievous thing when friendship turns to opposition, and Scripture does not make light of it. The betrayal of our Lord shows how black such treason is, and how deeply it wounds those who have walked faithfully beside another. Yet we are reminded that God is wiser than the prince of evil, and even where sin would reach its height, the Lord remains sovereign and able to make His purposes stand. Nothing done in secret escapes His eye, and He is able to make the path of the faithful secure.

True friendship, as the Word teaches, is not of hasty growth and cannot be sustained where truth and honor are forsaken. There can be no lasting fellowship where hearts are not true, and the friendship which is acquired or kept by doing wrong is worthless. The friend that sticketh closer than a brother is proved over time, in constancy and in obedience to what is right. When one who once walked as a friend turns aside, it reveals that the communion was not rooted as it ought to have been. This is sorrowful, yet it need not drive the faithful to despair.

We pray now for these two whom you have named. For the one who sees clearly what is happening and has begun to labour to provide for what may come, we ask the Lord to grant wisdom and childlike trust in providential guidance. May that one not lean upon his own understanding, but wait upon God to know what to do, keeping to the King's highway where the King's protection is promised. He who travels there is under the King's keeping, and though he will still need divine keeping in all his ways, that keeping is personal and perpetual, for the Lord gives His angels charge over His people in all their appointed ways.

For the other who does not yet see, we pray that the Lord in mercy would open eyes gently and in His perfect timing, that no snare may take that one unawares, and that truth may be revealed without bitterness. We ask that both may be kept from error and from returning evil for evil, grappling fast to the truths God has taught them by His Spirit, with hooks of steel.

Above all we pray for the ministry of reconciliation where it is possible. God is the God of peace and has prepared in Christ all that is needed for true and lasting reconciliation, but reconciliation requires that both parties yield and desire it. It cannot be worked by one side alone. If the heart of this teacher remains turned away, then we pray that these two workers may receive that reconciliation with God which brings joy in God Himself, and so may have peace that does not depend upon the faithfulness of man. If there is yet room for honesty and repentance, we pray the Holy Spirit would work it at once, and that the word of reconciliation might be spoken and heard in truth.

May the Lord keep these two in safety, give them counsel that is quiet and wise, guard their good name, and cause their labour to be established. May He comfort them as One who has Himself known betrayal and is therefore able to sympathize with them in every point, and may He turn their sorrow into steadfast trust in the Friend who laid down His life and never fails.

We commit them to Him who judges righteously and keeps His own in all their ways, asking that His will be done and His peace rest upon them.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
