We lift this dear brother before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of his struggles, being mistreated, isolated, and bound by addiction. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved or find true deliverance (Acts 4:12). We ask that You break every chain of addiction in his life, for it is written, "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed" (Luke 4:18). Lord, let this be his reality today.
We rebuke the enemy’s lies that have kept him in bondage, for Your Word declares, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray for divine intervention in his detox and rehabilitation, may he find a godly program that leads him to true freedom in Christ. Father, soften his heart to receive salvation, for "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We also address the pain of being yelled at by children and the cruelty of his ex cutting off communication. Lord, heal his wounded heart and protect his mind from bitterness. "See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good, for one another, and for all" (1 Thessalonians 5:15). Grant him wisdom and discernment as he stays with his sister, and surround him with believers who will encourage him in faith.
Most of all, we pray for his rebirth in Christ. May he confess with his mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in his heart that You raised Him from the dead, for "with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Romans 10:9-10). Let this be the day of his deliverance, Lord! We stand in agreement for his complete restoration, spirit, soul, and body, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
