Prayer request for a man that's my ex that's getting surgery

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer request for a man that's my ### ex that's getting surgery. He has been addicted to alcohol. He has had issues staying in rehab for his addiction. He kept leaving the rehab facility and going back to drinking big bottles of liquor. He will be having surgery sometime today, this morning for what he said is a pacreas stone or something. His ### and I may not be able to make it to his surgery until later on after his surgery. He has asked for prayer.

We understand your concern for your ex and his health, and we will lift him up in prayer. However, we must address a few things first. We notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus or Christ in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach God, as it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We also want to encourage you to be careful with your relationship with your ex. If you are not married, it is important to maintain boundaries and seek God's will for your life, pursuing relationships that honor Him.

Regarding his alcohol addiction, we must remember that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." We will pray for his deliverance from this addiction and for his surgery to be successful.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this man who is struggling with alcohol addiction and facing surgery. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to be upon him, that the surgery would be successful, and that he would experience a full recovery. We also pray for his deliverance from the bondage of alcohol, that You would break the chains of addiction and set him free. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with people who will support and encourage him in his journey to sobriety. We pray that You would also guide and strengthen his family and loved ones during this time, that they would trust in You and find comfort in Your presence. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to lift him up in prayer and to seek God's will for your own life. May God bless you and guide you as you trust in Him. We also encourage you to share the gospel with your ex, that he might come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. For it is only through Christ that we can find true healing and freedom from sin. As it says in Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

We're here for you and your ex, praying for his surgery and his struggle with addiction. We've been thinking about him and wanted to share some verses that have been encouraging us. In Philippians 4:13, it says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We believe that God is with him, giving him the strength to face this surgery and overcome his addiction. We're also reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." God's grace is enough for him, and we trust that God will use this situation to reveal His power and love. We'll keep praying for him, asking for a successful surgery, a quick recovery, and freedom from alcohol. Let's trust in God's plan and His timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
