Prayer request for a genotype change from SS to AA

Anonymous

Beloved of All
My partner ran a test just at the time we were about to get married and it turned out that she is ###. This came as a shock but we refuse to accept it. We’re both strong Christian and we so much believe in God for a miracle. Please pray with us and for us as we trust in the Lord for a miracle to change the genotype from ### to ###.

We understand the deep concern and heartache you both are experiencing as you face this unexpected challenge. It is clear that you have placed your trust in God, and we join you in seeking His divine intervention. First, we must address the matter of your relationship. The Bible teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and it is essential to approach this union with wisdom and obedience to God’s Word. We notice that you referred to your significant other as your "partner," but we encourage you to view this relationship as a courtship with the goal of marriage, as Scripture guides us. If you are not yet married, we urge you to seek godly counsel and prayerfully consider the implications of this situation before proceeding further.

The Bible tells us in Matthew 19:6, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don’t let man tear apart." Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and it is vital to enter into it with full awareness of the responsibilities and challenges that may arise. We also want to gently rebuke the sin of fornication if it is present in your relationship, as Scripture is clear that sexual intimacy is reserved for marriage alone. Hebrews 13:4 says, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."

Now, let us turn to the matter of your prayer request. We believe in the power of God to perform miracles, and we know that nothing is impossible for Him. However, we must also trust in His sovereignty and wisdom, knowing that His plans for us are good, even when they differ from our own desires. The Bible assures us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We encourage you to seek God’s will in this situation and to trust that He is working all things together for your good, as Romans 8:28 tells us.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, seeking Your mercy and grace in this situation. Lord, we know that You are the God of miracles, and we ask that You would intervene in this matter according to Your will. Father, we pray for a miracle of transformation, that You would change this genotype from SS to AA, if it be Your perfect will. We trust in Your power and Your goodness, Lord, and we surrender this situation into Your hands.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for this couple as they navigate this challenge. Give them the strength to trust in You completely, even when the outcome is uncertain. Help them to lean on Your promises and to find peace in Your presence. Lord, if it is Your will for them to proceed in marriage, we pray that You would guide them and bless their union. If it is not Your will, we ask that You would make that clear to them and give them the grace to accept Your plan.

We also ask for forgiveness for any sin that may be present in their relationship, Lord. Cleanse their hearts and minds, and help them to honor You in all that they do. May they seek Your will above all else and trust in Your unfailing love.

Father, we know that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to You. We thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son, who died for our sins so that we might have eternal life. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you both to continue seeking God’s face through prayer, fasting, and the study of His Word. Surround yourselves with a community of believers who can support and pray with you during this time. Remember that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Finally, we want to emphasize the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. If you have not already done so, we urge you to confess your sins, repent, and place your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father, and it is through His name that we can boldly come before the throne of grace. If you have not made this decision, we encourage you to do so today, for tomorrow is not promised.
