Prayer request for a eldelry

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer request for a eldelry. She always experiences different things since her husband had played a ouija wishing board. He brought the ouija wishing board into their home long ago and had asked the ouija wishing board for a new wife and a new house. When he has issues he finds ways to get mad at her or finds ways to say mean things. He said mean things to her few days ago. Saying she's single, mocked her again. He use to tell his youngest daughter that her mom was crazy. When the elderly has moved to a different home. Then she started to feel sick. She is now neighbors with her husband's girlfriend's family. She was saying she was trying to eat but didn't want to eat. Pray request for her and her health, protection and her safety.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear elderly woman who has endured so much pain and spiritual oppression. Father God, we first want to acknowledge that You are the only true and living God, and any involvement with ouija boards, wishing boards, or any form of divination is an abomination to You. The Word clearly states in Deuteronomy 18:10-12, "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh." We renounce and break any ungodly soul ties, curses, or demonic influences that have entered this home through the use of the ouija board. We command every evil spirit that has been invited in through this practice to leave in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You would surround this precious woman with Your holy angels for protection. Psalm 91:11-12 assures us, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We pray that You would station Your angels around her home, her property, and her person, creating a hedge of protection that the enemy cannot penetrate. We also pray for her physical health, asking that You would strengthen her body and restore her appetite. In 3 John 1:2, we are reminded, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We ask that You would touch her with Your healing hand and give her a renewed desire to eat and care for her body, which is Your temple.

Father, we are grieved by the way her husband has treated her. The Word commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25), and it is clear that he has fallen far short of this standard. We pray that You would convict his heart and bring him to repentance for his cruel words and ungodly actions. We also rebuke the spirit of adultery that has taken root in his life, as he has pursued another woman while still married. Hebrews 13:4 declares, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We pray that You would break the power of this sin in his life and restore him to right relationship with You and his wife, if it be Your will.

We also want to address the spiritual danger of living near the family of his girlfriend. The enemy seeks to torment and harass, and we pray that You would either soften their hearts toward this woman or provide a way for her to move to a place of safety and peace. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will not be subject to further harassment or harm.

Most importantly, we pray for her salvation and relationship with You, Lord Jesus. If she does not yet know You as her personal Savior, we ask that You would draw her to Yourself. Romans 10:9 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." We pray that she would confess her sins, turn away from any ungodly practices, and place her trust in Jesus Christ alone for her salvation. We ask that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit and give her a deep hunger for Your Word and Your presence.

Heavenly Father, we also pray for her emotional healing. The mockery, rejection, and cruelty she has endured have likely left deep wounds on her heart. We ask that You would bind up her broken heart (Psalm 147:3) and replace her sorrow with Your joy. Help her to forgive her husband, not for his sake, but for her own freedom and peace. As Your Word says in Colossians 3:13, "bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do."

We declare over her life that she is a child of the Most High God, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We speak life, health, peace, and protection over her. We break every curse that has been spoken over her and release blessing in its place. We pray that she would experience Your love in a tangible way and that her faith would be strengthened as she sees You move on her behalf.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray and believe that You will bring deliverance, healing, and restoration to this situation. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.

We are thankful you cared enough to bring this elderly woman to prayer. It is heavy to watch someone you love be spoken to so harshly, be mocked and belittled, and then to see her feeling sick, not wanting to eat, and living right near a painful reminder of her husband's choices. You have done a kind thing by noticing and interceding for her.

Ongoing unkind words can wear a person down over time in a way that affects both spirit and body, leaving her exhausted, confused about her own worth, and even physically unwell. Losing desire to eat and feeling sick deserves gentle, steady attention alongside prayer.

It may help her to have a couple of practical supports in place. Encourage her to see her doctor soon about her appetite and how she has been feeling, so she can be cared for medically while we continue to pray for her health. It also helps for one or two trusted people, family, a pastor, or a dependable neighbor, to check in with her regularly, know how she is doing day to day, and be someone she can call if she feels unsafe or needs help. If the ouija board or its history still weighs on her, a trusted pastor can visit, pray with her in her home, and remind her of her security in Christ.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this woman to You. We ask for Your protection over her, for strength in her body and grace to eat and rest, and for safe, faithful people around her each day. Give wisdom and kindness to those supporting her and lead her in Your peace. Amen.

Your burden for this elderly sister has been brought before the Lord and we join you in earnest prayer for her health, protection and safety.

We grieve to hear of the cruelty she has endured and of the entrance of darkness into her home through the ouija board. That device is no mere game but a seeking after other powers than the living God, and Scripture warns us to turn from all such things. Deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. We do not spread our griefs to the pitiless sea nor speak to the winds, for God's ear is not shut to those who call upon Him through Jesus Christ. He has found a ransom. The prisoner ready to go down to the pit finds undeserved deliverance because the King's own Son has borne the penalty of sin. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is to Christ alone we must look for both pardon and healing.

We must speak plainly also concerning the marriage covenant. The Lord ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all that belongs to it is holy within that covenant alone. For a husband to ask for a new wife, to take a girlfriend, to mock his wife and say she is single or to call her crazy before her children is sin against God and grievous wrong against one whom he vowed to cherish. We cannot ask God to bless such a relationship, for He calls all to repentance and to forsake what is evil. We pray instead that this man may be brought to see his fault, to turn from his sin, to renounce every work of darkness including the board he brought into the home, and to seek forgiveness through the blood of Christ. Where there has been bitterness and unkindness, may the Lord grant repentance and, if it be His will, true reconciliation according to His holy ordinance.

For this dear sister, who now is sick, without appetite, and cast down by mocking and by living so near to those who wound her, we pray the Lord will be her healer and keeper. He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Even the leaves, as it were, about Him are full of healing virtue to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon her with healing beneath His wings. When the root of bitterness is taken away and sin is pardoned, healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. We pray that she may know pardon through Christ and find comfort in His presence, that her body may be strengthened, her appetite restored, and her spirit lifted from despair.

Let us pray together for her.

O Lord our God, who alone can bring forth thy people with deliverance and enrichment, look in mercy upon this aged sister. Thou seest her sickness, her sorrow, her loneliness and the cruel words spoken against her. Cover her with thy hand, keep her in safety where she dwells, and let no harm come near her dwelling. Give her daily bread and help her to eat and be nourished. Heal her body and heal her broken heart. Let her feel that thou hast delivered her from the power of darkness and hast translated her into the kingdom of thy dear Son. Cause every vestige of the occult to be put away from her house, and let Christ alone be trusted and honoured there. Provide for her faithful friends, pastors and physicians to care for her, and comfort her youngest daughter also. And O Lord, have mercy upon her husband, convict him of sin, bring him to repentance and to faith in Jesus Christ, that he may walk in holiness and truth. We ask all these mercies not because we are worthy, but because thou hast found a ransom in thy Son. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour we pray. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have received your prayer request and we are lifting this elderly woman before the Lord with care and compassion. God sees her pain, her sickness, her loneliness and the unkind words spoken against her, and He is near to those who are hurting and oppressed.

The use of a ouija board to seek guidance or to make wishes is not a harmless game. Scripture teaches us to seek the Lord alone and to turn away from any practice that seeks spiritual power apart from Him. Such things can open the door to fear, confusion and spiritual oppression. We pray that any influence from that past act would be broken in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is Lord and Savior and who alone gives true protection and peace. If that board is still in the home it should be removed and destroyed, and there should be a clear turning to Christ in repentance and faith, asking Him for forgiveness and cleansing.

We also grieve the way her husband has treated her. Marriage is given by God as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, marked by love, faithfulness and honor. To seek another wife while still married, to speak with cruelty and mockery, and to live in a way that breaks that covenant is sin before God. We do not ask God to bless that unfaithful relationship. Instead we pray for her husband to see the seriousness of his actions, to repent and to turn to Christ for mercy and change. We pray for this dear woman to be guarded from further verbal harm and manipulation, and for those around her to speak truth and offer protection rather than calling her crazy or dismissing her pain.

We are praying also for her body and daily needs. To feel sick, to lose the desire to eat, and to live with stress and sorrow is a heavy burden, especially in older age. We ask the Lord to restore her health, to give her strength, to help her eat and regain strength, and to surround her with safe and caring people who will check on her, help with meals and medical care, and ensure she is not isolated. Living near the family of her husband's girlfriend must be very painful and difficult. We pray for her safety and peace there, for boundaries that protect her, and for God to provide a more peaceful living situation if needed and possible.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we bring this precious woman before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only Savior. Have mercy on her and cover her with Your protection. Forgive any sin and break any spiritual oppression linked to the ouija board, and fill her home with Your presence and peace. Heal her body, give her appetite and strength, calm her mind and comfort her heart. Guard her from cruel words and keep her safe from harm. Surround her with faithful believers and caring neighbors who will help her and advocate for her. Bring her husband to repentance and to a true knowledge of You, and stop the harm being done. Lead her each day and let her know she is seen, loved and not alone. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Please continue to stand with her. Encourage her to stay close to a Bible believing church where pastors can visit, pray with her and help ensure she is safe. Encourage her to see a doctor about her sickness and loss of appetite, and to let trusted family or friends know how she is living and how she is being treated so they can help watch over her. Keep praying for her daily, reading Scripture with her when possible, and reminding her that the Lord is her refuge and strength.

Your burden for this elderly woman is felt deeply and I am grateful you brought it for prayer. What you describe is painful on many levels, the cruelty of words in her own home, the sickness and loss of appetite, the distress of living near those connected to her husband's unfaithfulness, and the spiritual heaviness that has followed the use of that board.

That board is not a game. Scripture warns us to stay away from seeking guidance from spirits apart from God, because it opens the door to deception and to evil spiritual influence. The good news is that Jesus Christ has complete authority in the spiritual realm. He commands evil powers and they must obey Him. There is no power greater than His. For this woman, the way forward is to turn fully to Jesus alone for salvation and protection, to renounce and remove that object and any involvement with it from her home, and to ask Him to cleanse and guard her heart and house. If she has trusted in Christ, she can pray in His name and ask Him to break any hold those practices may have. It would be wise for her to have faithful, mature believers pray with her and for her, as the early church did when they brought the sick and burdened to the Lord.

What you share about her husband is also very serious. Marriage in Scripture is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and what God has joined together is meant to be kept in faithfulness. For a husband to ask for a new wife, to pursue another relationship, to live in a way that belongs only within marriage, and to mock and belittle his wife by calling her single or saying she is unstable, is sin against God and cruel to her. We do not ask God to bless that other relationship, we pray that he will come to repentance, tell the truth, and turn from that path. At the same time we pray for her safety and dignity. Persistent verbal cruelty is not something to ignore. Please help her stay connected to trusted family, to godly counsel, and to medical care, and if she is ever in danger, to seek help right away from those who can protect her.

I want to pray for her health with both faith and honesty. The Bible shows us that Jesus healed many, and Matthew connects His healing work to the prophecy in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and sicknesses. That tells us physical healing, as well as forgiveness of sin, flows from what Christ has done. Yet the Gospels also show that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes gradually. There is only one account of a gradual healing in His ministry, which reminds us He is not limited to one pattern. Much of the healing God does comes through the natural processes He Himself built into our bodies, and that is still divine healing because He is the one who created those processes. He also brings healing in the mind and emotions, mending the wounds left by harsh words and long sorrow.

We do not understand why some are healed quickly and others are not. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord did not remove it. For that reason we must never tell a suffering person that she is not healed because she has sin in her life or because she lacks faith. That is false and cruel, like the comforters of Job. There is much phoniness in how some present healing today, but true healing belongs to God and is for today, and we can come to Him humbly and ask.

So let us pray together for her. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear elderly woman to You. We thank You that salvation is through Jesus alone and that His blood covers sin and His power is greater than all darkness. We ask You to cover her with Your protection, to drive away every evil influence, and to give her peace in her home and in her heart. Heal her body, we pray. Restore her appetite and strength, and work through whatever means You choose, whether instant or gradual, to bring her health. Heal also the deep wounds left by unkind words and betrayal, and let her know she is seen and loved by You. Keep her safe. Surround her with people who will care for her with gentleness and truth, and give wisdom to those who are near her to help her get proper care. Bring conviction and repentance where there is sin, and lead this family toward what is right in Your eyes. We trust her into Your hands, asking for Your mercy and Your will to be done, and we thank You that You hear us for Jesus sake. Amen.
